LEGO Star Wars Black VIP Card May the 4th Promotion?

LEGO Star Wars Platinum R2-D2

When the LEGO Star Wars Black VIP card was announced, it was stated that there would be special promotions for card holders who purchased the UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) on the intial run. Fans have been wondering if they would ever get any promos or deals and it looks like there’s something coming next week during the May the 4th event.

There are now unconfirmed rumors that there will be a special sweepstakes for one of the platinum R2-D2 minifigures for Black VIP card holders. This comes from a reader who was told by LEGO store employees from their local store. I’m not sure of the legitimacy of this piece of news but if you’ve heard something similar, let us know in the comments below. Supposedly, there’s also a special blueprint poster of the UCS Y-Wing Starfighter (75181) given out to card holders as well which I’ve heard from a few places.

LEGO Star Wars BB-8 (40288) May the 4th Promotion Clarification

LEGO Star Wars BB-8 (40288)

Next week is the LEGO Star Wars May the 4th event and there’s some clarification of the availability of the BB-8 (40288) polybag on the Shop@Home header. If you’ve received the spring catalog, the flyer for the promotion shows that the BB-8 polybag was only available on May 4. According to Shop@Home, the promo will now run through the whole weekend, while supplies last, which is good because not everyone may have time to do their shopping on that specific day and will be happy to know that they have some time to make their purchases. Some of the other promotions during the LEGO Star Wars May the 4th event include:

– Double VIP ponts on most Star Wars items.
– Select sale items.
– Porg in-store Make and Take build
