The LEGO Group Announces Partnership with Tencent

The LEGO Group has announced that the company is partnering up with one of China’s biggest tech companies, Tencent, to develop safe digital content and platforms for children in the country. LEGO has been expanding more into the Asian market the past few years and this partnership allows the LEGO and Tencent to create games, videos, and a social media network for children in China. The partnership will look to bring LEGO Life to China as well as publication and operation of the online operation system for LEGO BOOST. This move also allows LEGO to bring brand awareness to China, which unfortunately, is ripe with imitators. Check out the full press release below of LEGO’s partnership with Tencent.

LEGO Creator Palace Cinema (10232) Available on Amazon

I’m not sure if the LEGO Creator Palace Cinema (10232) is just temporarily sold out or retired on Shop@Home, but there is some stock over on Amazon if you’re still wanting to pick it up. This is probably your final chance to get it because they are already gone from a majority of LEGO Brand Stores and it hasn’t been available for a while on Shop@Home. The Palace Cinema may not be the best modular building according to the survey I ran but it’s one of the more popular ones in the long line of modulars.

LEGO Incredibles 2 and DC Villains Video Game Rumored to be Coming Out

LEGO news has been fairly quiet the past few days but there’s some news on some rumored LEGO video games that is reported to be coming out. As we all know, LEGO Dimensions was officially cancelled late last year and this usually means that some of the employees move on to other new projects. According to ComicBook.com, there is more fuel to add to rumors of the LEGO Incredibles 2 Video Game as they state it is the next LEGO video game to be coming out. We already know that there are some LEGO Incredibles 2 sets that will be coming out later this year so a video game wouldn’t be a huge surprise but it’s nice to have another source report on it. The Incredibles 2 will be in theaters on June 15, 2018 so we can expect the game to release at the same time. This will also mark the first time a Pixar property will become a LEGO game.

Also in the same post, ComicBook.com has also reported that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is also working on a new LEGO game revolving around DC villains and are referring to the project as “LEGO DC Villains” or “LEGO DC Supervillains.” Unlike before when we’ve gotten LEGO video games based on Batman and the other super heroes being the main focus, this new DC game will feature more of the villains like the Joker, Harley Quinn, and Lex Luthor. Sources have told ComicBook.com that the official title will be given some time over the … Continue
