A picture of the new LEGO Star Wars Rancor Pit has surfaced a couple of days before the LEGO Star Wars themed day at the 2012 San Diego Comic Con. My first impression of just looking at the picture is that it’s a decent, medium-sized build that could possibly fit under Jabba’s Palace (9516). I will be getting a closer look at the set and have more images and details of it when I go to Comic Con this Saturday.

This set looks good, but not great. Why would they put gray pieces when the rancor pit is made of sand. Also, they have the wrong color scheme for Malikili who only wears a black hood and black pants, not a brown hood and green pants. And also, there is a huge gap in the middle of the floor and the door that the rancor comes out of doesnt look right either. Although, I love the Rancor. This set is most likely gonna be overpriced because it can connect to jabbas palace.
