LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267) Featured in The Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer

The Mandalorian Season 3 teaser trailer dropped earlier today and it looks to feature a now-retired LEGO set. During Bo-Katan Kryze’s voiceover, four other Mandalorians appear on screen which looks extremely close to the LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267).

The set was one of the most popular sets when it first released back in 2020 and it retired at the end of last year. With the trailer showing them, the price of the set may definitely rise a bit more on the secondary market as LEGO fans scramble to find it. It is listed on Amazon for $24.99 which is $10 more than retail but it might as well be normal price now compared to sets that are currently on shelves.

LEGO Looking to Hire AFOLs for LEGO Product Designer Job Opening

LEGO has a special request from the community as the design management team is currently hiring and are specifically looking for AFOLs. As we know by now, there have been quite a few AFOLs in recent years who have made the transition from being just a fan of LEGO to actually working for LEGO such as Chris McVeigh and Boone Langston. Check out the LEGO Design Team Portal to see if it’s a fit for you and also see what other positions are available to apply for right now.

LEGO 90th Anniversary Mini Castle (6426244) Review

Back in early August, LEGO teamed up with Walmart for an exclusive 90th Anniversary Mini Castle (6426244). All you had to do was buy $50 worth of qualifying LEGO sets from August 8-24 and upload your receipt by August 31 to get one. As of two weeks ago, they have started shipping out the sets and they would come in an unsuspecting yellow envelope. For me, I didn’t get any confirmation emails or shipping emails and it just randomly showed up in the mail today.

With the package, you get a ziplocked bag with the parts and the instructions for the Mini Castle. The set has 158 pieces and all the pieces included are used so there are no extra ones.

The Mini Castle is a reimagining of the Yellow Castle (375) from 1978 and it sits on some rocky land with a river going around it. The castle has a printed shield for LEGO’s 90 Years of Play right in the middle. A small runs on the side and around the front under the drawbridge. There are some trees on the rocks and the plains.

LEGO 90th Anniversary Mini Castle (6426244)

Overall, the LEGO 90th Anniversary Mini Castle (6426244) is a neat little set if you are able to get one. It captures the celebration very well by using one of their most iconic sets in a smaller form. The problem with the set isn’t the set itself but the logistics of getting it.

LEGO Donates Additional $13.6 Million Supporting Ukrainian Children and Families

LEGO has announced that the LEGO Foundation has donated an additional $13.6 million more to support Ukrainian children in rehabilitation and rebuilding their educational system. The money also helps children and families who have escaped to neighboring countries. If you remember back in March, LEGO donated $16.5 million already to help children and families that have been affected by the war.

The LEGO Foundation donates an additional US$ 13.6 million to support Ukrainian children

Denmark, Billund, 1st September 2022 – The LEGO Foundation is donating 100M DKK (approximately 13.6M USD) to support the rehabilitation and rebuilding of the education system within Ukraine and the educational needs of the children and families who have fled to neighbouring countries.

Is the LEGO DC Super Heroes Theme Dead?

One LEGO theme that was notably missing in 2022 was LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes. So there have been no sets released this year in the US unless you count The Batman Batmobile (30455) polybag which was found in a limited supply at Walmart. There’s also the Batman versus Harley Quinn (76220) 4+ set that was revealed a few weeks ago but no release date for it. Lastly, there was a rumored The Flash set but the movie was pushed back to 2023 so that set is delayed as well.

The LEGO DC theme has been a staple since 2012 with many characters making appearances in some very good sets. We even had a few video games that were a hit with fans. From 2019-2021, we got some of the larger scale builds like the 1989 Batmobile (76139), 1989 Batwing (76161), and Tumbler (76240) and we thought there was some opportunity for more larger scale vehicles for the future but that didn’t happen this year. LEGO also could’ve had a chance this year for the 30th anniversary of Batman: The Animated Series but that didn’t happen either.

So far for 2023, there has only been one rumored set and that is for a Technic Batcycle (42155) for The Batman which will be paired next to the Batmobile (42127). Other than that, there was been no other rumors for any LEGO DC sets for 2023 and that is making fans really disappointed with the theme.

Can we now say that the LEGO DC theme … Continue

LEGO London Postcard (40569) Delayed Until January 2023 for North America

For some unknown reason, the LEGO London Postcard (40569) has been postponed in North America until January 1, 2023. Note that all of the other new postcard sets are already available with Paris being sold out temporarily and London has also been released in other parts of the world. It’s nothing too earth shattering but it’s just weird that only one of them would get delayed until next year since it was supposed to be released back in July.

There is only a few days left for the Walmart exclusive LEGO 90th Anniversary Mini Castle (6426244) offer and it looks like they are already shipping it out to qualified orders. Our friend FikinBricks has already received their set and it appears that it is packaged in a plastic bag and not in a box as many were expecting. There is a printed shield piece for the 90th anniversary logo and the instructions are printed in a small booklet showing that it has 158 pieces.

There is still two days left to get your orders at Walmart for it. You have to spend $50 in qualifying sets and upload your receipt to the dedicated page by August 31.
