LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: The Awesome Guide Exclusive Wonder Woman Minifigure Revealed

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: The Awesome Guide

In a couple of months, DK will be releasing a new LEGO book called LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: The Awesome Guide. The book will also include an exclusive minifigure. It was presumed that it might have been the John Stewart Green Lantern minifigure but that is not correct. As we can see from the image above, it has been revealed that the minifigure included with the book is actually David Finch’s Post-New 52 Wonder Woman. She now dons a red top and boots with blue sleeves and pants which debuted in the comics a few years ago.

The image above is a little misleading and the Wonder Woman minifigure next to the blue dot that says exclusive is not the one included. The one inside the book is the one that is exclusive. Here’s a zoomed in image of it.

Thanks to Gustavo on our Facebook Page for the heads up.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Suits Revealed

The LEGO Ninjago Movie

USA Today has released a new image of the suits for the upcoming The LEGO Ninjago Movie. As you can see above, the image shows Kai (Michael Pena), Nya (Abbi Jacobson), Jay (Kumail Nanjiani), Lloyd (Dave Franco), Zane (Zach Woods), and Cole (Fred Armisen) all donning new suits. You can also see the hairstyles are slightly different than in the animated series especially Cole who looks like he’s sporting a man bun now.

We’ve also seen an image of Lord Garmardon (Justin Theroux) who was revealed a few days ago and Sensei Wu (Jackie Chan) from the animated short from last year. The only character we haven’t seen yet is Olivia Munn’s Koko.

Keep in mind that they’re grown up now in The LEGO Ninjago Movie and are in high school. Also, the movie is not in the same universe as in the animated series either but in the same as The LEGO Movie. The LEGO Ninjago Movie is in theaters on September 22. So what do you guys think of the new suits?

The LEGO Movie Sequel Changes Directors

Even with the success of the first movie, it looks like that are more changes to The LEGO Movie Sequel. ComicBook.com is reporting that Trolls director Mike Mitchell has now been named the new director for The LEGO Movie Sequel. He replaces Rob Schrab who announced as the previous director around this time two years ago. According to reports, the change to Mitchell was based on creative differences between Warner Bros. and Schrab.

The swap in directors for The LEGO Movie Sequel is the latest change for the movie. Last year, the original script by Phil Lord and Chris Miller was rewritten by Raphael Bob-Waksberg and also the release date was pushed back for a second time to 2019.

LEGO Named 2017 World’s Most Powerful Brand

Brand Finance has released their yearly Global 500 rankings and LEGO has regained their position from Disney as the world’s most powerful brand. This is based on a number of factors including brand “familiarity, loyalty, promotion, marketing investment, staff satisfaction, and corportate reputation.”

LEGO has been working towards the top spot for many years from Jørgen Vig Knudstorp who took the company from the brink of bankruptcy to The LEGO Movie a few years ago which gave LEGO the world’s most powerful brand in 2015. Combine that with the upcoming The LEGO Batman Movie and it’s predicted impact as well as more movies coming out in the next few years including The LEGO Ninjago Movie in September, The LEGO Movie Sequel, and The Billion Brick Race will continue to build its brand power.

There’s more to the Brand Finance report in the link above if you want to read more about it.
