LEGO Ideas Ship in a Bottle, The Flagship Leviathan (21313) Teaser

There hasn’t been much information about the upcoming LEGO Ideas Ship in a Bottle, The Flagship Leviathan (21313) since it was announced as the winner of the Third 2016 Review Stage until now. According to Promobricks, the German LEGO Store flyer for January/February has revealed a teaser for the set which shows a blueprint outline for it. There has been rumors that the release date of the set is January 17 but there’s been no confirmation of that. The official reveal of the set should be coming any time now so stay tuned for that.

2016 LEGO Ideas Sets Retiring Soon

2017 is quickly coming to an end and to make way for some of the upcoming LEGO Ideas sets including Ship In A Bottle: The Flagship Leviathan, Voltron: Defender of the Universe, and Tron Legacy Light Cycle, LEGO will soon be retiring some of the current ones that are still on store shelves. LEGO didn’t mention when they would be retired but it’s possible that it could be by the end of this year or early next year.

LEGO Ideas The Lego Christmas Story House Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Lego Christmas Story House by twrt0es is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. Just in time for the holidays, the project is based on the classic comedy film, A Christmas Movie and there are things implemented into the project to show that. The house has a modular design where you can remove the roof and the second floor to access the areas of the house.

The Lego Christmas Story House now joins the Pop-Up Book, Boat House Diner, The Lighthouse, Jaguar E-Type Roadster, The Dive Shop, and RuPaul’s Brick Race as the projects to reach the Third 2017 Review Stage.

LEGO Ideas RuPaul’s Brick Race Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The RuPaul’s Brick Race by SeeMarkGeek is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The project is based on the reality competition show called RuPaul’s Drag Race and honestly, I’ve never even heard of it before I saw it on the most supported projects list. Apparently, it’s based on some competition called Clutch Game which is a celebrity impersonation challenge. I’ll just leave it at that.

Act fast as this set is still one of the main top-selling sets, especially for this holiday season. TRON Legacy Light Cycle is Next LEGO Ideas Set

LEGO has officially announced the next LEGO Ideas set with TRON Legacy Light Cycle. The project was from the First 2017 Review Stage and was created by thr BrickBros UK. There are no details on price and availability at this time.

It was also announced that Damien and Aiden MacRae from the Surf Rescue project was offered a special project to work on. If you remember, Damien was diagnosed with Stage 4 melanoma skin cancer and used this project to spread awareness.

Unlike some of the previous review stages, there was only one project selected to become an official LEGO Ideas set. Are you happy about this pick or would you rather have chosen another project? Let us know in the comments.

Build Your LEGO Ideas Logo Contest

Next year will be a decade since the Japanese launch of LEGO CUUSOO and LEGO is holding a contest to celebrate the event. All you have to do is to create a LEGO Ideas logo using physical bricks or digitally. The deadline for submissions is December 15, 2017 at 10am EST. The grand prize winner will get an assortment of some of the current LEGO Ideas sets including:

-21306 Yellow Submarine
-21307 Caterham Super Seven
-21308 Adventure Time
-21309 LEGO NASA Apollo Saturn V
-21310 Old Fishing Store, all signed by their respective LEGO designers.
-21312 Women of NASA, signed by the LEGO designer and fan designer.

There are also be two runners up who will each get:

-21309 NASA Apollo Saturn V signed by the LEGO designers.
-21312 Women of NASA, signed by both the LEGO designer and the fan designer.

The judging will be based on several criteria including:

– Overall coolness and originality: 25%
– Most inspired details: 25%
