LEGO has put up the product listing for the LEGO BrickHeadz Monkie Kid Monkey King (40381) which also gives us the official images of the set. It has 175 pieces and retails for $9.99 and it will be available starting on August 1.

Continuing with my reviews of the LEGO Monkie Kid sets, we’ve come to probably my favorite set from the wave which is Pigsy’s Food Truck (80009). It has 832 pieces and retails for a decent $69.99. The contents of the box include eight numbered bags and the instructions which has the large sticker sheet packaged along with it.

LEGO Monkie Kid Official Images for Upcoming Wave

A few days ago, we talked about some upcoming LEGO Monkie Kid sets that come from LEGO Shop@Home Malaysia and there are now official images of the sets. There are three system sets that we can expect soon, minus the BrickHeadz set. There’s no word yet on the release date.


Sandy’s Speedboat (80014) – 394 pieces


Monkie Kid’s Cloud Roadster (80015) – 659 pieces


The Flaming Foundry (80016) – 1,427 pieces

LEGO Monkie Kid Build Your Own Monkey King (40474) Polybag Revealed

Polybag collectors, it looks like there’s another LEGO Monkie Kid polybag to find soon. LEGO designer Samuel Johnson has shared a polybag called Build Your Own Monkey King (40474) which has 24 pieces and as the set name states, you can build your own Monkey King. It looks like it comes with a printed 1×2 brick for the eyes and also includes the new gold handle pieces for the staff. The polybag is currently available in Billund but there’s no word on when it will be available over here.

Yesterday, we talked about a new LEGO Monkie Kid BrickHeadz coming out soon and it looks like there are more sets for the main theme as well. Over on LEGO Shop@Home Malaysia, there are some product listings for three more upcoming sets. Although there are no images of the sets yet, there are descriptions as well as piece counts.
