LEGO Black VIP Card Shipping Clarification

If you’ve purchased the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) before December 31, 2017, you will be eventually getting the black VIP card if you’ve haven’t already. I’ve gotten an update for a reader who emailed in about their experience with LEGO Customer Service about his situation.

It appears there was a glitch in their system with VIPs who have opted out or never consented to physical mailings and their cards weren’t created with the original batch that went out last year. LEGO has since created a new list for those particular VIPs and their cards will be sent out soon.

Also, the rep also stated that any upcoming special promotions that goes with the black VIP card are attached to the VIP account and you don’t actually need to have the physical card on hand. This info is very helpful because I’ve had a lot of questions come in about it.

Hopefully this answers the main questions that have been asked by those who have purchased the UCS Falcon and haven’t gotten their cards yet. Again this only applies to those who got it before last year’s deadline and people who ordered the Falcon after the new year restock will not be getting the card. One of the newer 2018 sets for LEGO Star Wars is the Defense of Crait (75202) from Star Wars: The Last Jedi and you can currently get it on sale on Amazon. The set is at $67.99 which is 20% off the retail price of $84.99. This makes the set a bit more attractive as it is a bit overpriced at the recommended retail price.

This exciting Defense of Crait LEGO® Star Wars toy has everything a Resistance warrior needs to play out the epic final battle from Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The set features a highly detailed Resistance Ski Speeder with spring-loaded shooters, removable engine section, minifigure cockpit and a lowering stabilizer. LEGO Star Wars: The Last Jedi DJ (40298) Now Available for Purchase

If your Toys R Us has any left after last week’s promotion, the LEGO Star Wars: The Last Jedi DJ (40298) minifigure polybag is now available for purchase by itself. The polybag goes for $5.99 each and the item number is 379276. You should be able to find it in the LEGO section of the store or possibly under the cashier counter. DJ is the third minfigure in the newer stand-style of polybags who joins R3-M2 (40268) and the Scarif Stormtrooper (40176) from last year.

LEGO Star Wars Battle Pack Sales on Amazon

If you’re looking to create a LEGO army or to add to your army, there are currently some good sales on some LEGO Star Wars Battle Packs on Amazon. The first one is the Tatooine Battle Pack (75198) that is going for $11.99. This set has two Jawas as well as a Tusken Raider along with the R3-T2 astromech. This is a good deal for those minifigures alone.

The other set is an older one with the First Order Transport Speeder Battle Pack (75166) that is also at $11.99. For this set, you’ll get a couple of First Order Stormtroopers, a First Order Flametrooper, and a First Order Officer.

The LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) is now available again for purchase in the US as well as in Canada on Shop@Home. I’m not sure much inventory LEGO has at this point but I’ve already had a few readers pick it up. Too bad there’s no more of the black VIP cards to go with it.

LEGO Star Wars DJ (40298) Toys R Us Promotion

As expected, the LEGO Star Wars DJ (40298) minifigure polybag is now available at Toys R Us as a promotional item. You can get it, in store only, with a purchase of $30 or more and the promo runs until Sunday. If you’re lucky, you can buy it outright for $5.99 each. It all depends on if the manager on duty allows it through. If you can’t find it, the item number is 379276.

LEGO Star Wars 2018 Amazon Sales

The 2018 LEGO Star Wars sets have just officially hit stores about a week ago but there are already some sales on Amazon for a few of them. The main one is the Ahch-To Island Training (75200), which I’ve recently reviewed. It is currently at $23.99 (20% off) off the regular price of $29.99 and I feel that this is a good price for it.

The next set is the First Order AT-ST (75201). This set is priced at $31.99 (20% off) the regular price of $39.99. It is still a bit high for an unfinished AT-ST but your wallet won’t cry as much.

The last set is General Grievous’ Combat Speeder (75199). It is currently at $23.99 (20% off) the normal price of $29.99. Again, it’s still a bit high but there are some larger pieces in the set that cost more to produce.
