LEGO Tim Burton 1989 Batmobile by Orion Pax

Builder extraordinaire Alex Jones (Orion Pax) is back at it again with another Batman related build. Last month, we featured his LEGO version of the 1966 Batmobile which was LED Lites scale. For this new version, which is also the same scale, he has created the 1989 Tim Burton’s Batmobile. This Batmobile was used in both Batman and Batman Returns played by Michael Keaton. The vehicle was also dubbed the Keaton-mobile since the car’s popularity has been attributed to the actor.

Being one of the most recognizable vehicles in movie history, Alex has recreated it with great detail. Don’t let the size full you as it is not regular minifigure scale. The LED Lites figures are much larger in a scale so the Batmobile is sized accordingly. Check out the full gallery here.

LEGO One Piece Thousand Sunny by Orion Pax

Earlier this year, we featured a MOC from my of my favorite manga/anime series, the Thousand Sunny from One Piece. Unfortunately, the images that it was hosted on was taken down so we have a replacement.

Alex Jones (Orion Pax) never cease to amaze and he has created his version of the famous Straw Hat Pirates ship. The MOC is very accurate to the show with the custom sail piece and the lion figurehead at the bow. Check out more images of the Thousand Sunny on Alex’s site.

LEGO 1966 Batmobile (LED Lites Scale) by Orion Pax

What happens when you give Alex Jones (Orion Pax) some Batman and Robin LEGO DC Super Heroes LED Lites? In collaboration with BRICK Works Taipei, he goes on to create the 1966 Batmobile in the scale of the minifigure LED Lites and it looks absolutely amazing. As you may know, the LED Lites are a bit large so the vehicle is fairly large sized. The amount of detail that Alex has put into the Batmobile is incredible from the Bat symbols on the hubcaps to the parachute packs in the back. Check out more images of the 1966 Batmobile in Alex’s gallery.

LEGO CUUSOO Back to the Future Projects Featuring Orion Pax

In light of Team BTTF’s Jules Verne Train getting 10,000 supporters on their project, there is another creator on LEGO CUUSOO who also has some Back to the Future projects hoping to achieve what Team BTTF has done three times already and that person is Orion Pax, aka Alex Jones. If you’re fans of LEGO MOCs, you may have heard of Orion’s name since we’ve featured him on the site a few times before. On CUUSOO, he has listed a number of projects themed with “2015” which is the 30th anniversary of the first Back to the Future movie.

One of those projects is the Nike MAG that Marty wore in the second film. These particular shoes are confirmed to be re-released by Nike next year with power laces. Orion’s other BTTF projects include various buildings from Back to the Future II such as the Cafe 80s, the cinema showing Jaws 19, the Texaco station, and the iconic Hill Valley Courthouse.

Go check out these projects and support them if you like what you see. Also remember that Team BTTF also has some other neat projects that you can support as well. Overall, it’s cool to see that many fans are embracing the fact that a renowned movie like Back to the Future will be reaching its 30th anniversary and are creating things that bring back memories of when we first saw the movie and hopes that fans like us can actually have one of these sets in our hands.

LEGO Masters of the Universe by Orion Pax

Alex Jones, aka Orion Pax, continues to show off his creations of 80’s themes and he has finally completed his custom LEGO sets and minifigures based on the Masters of the Universe franchise. He has been working hard the past several months to create high quality sets and he was even invited to Grayskull Con 2013 to present the sets to the creator of the Masters of the Universe, Mark Taylor. As you can see below, Alex has also created a full-sized replica of He-Man’s Power Sword and Battle Axe. If you’ve been following Orion, you will know the quality level of his creations are unparalleled and as a kid from the 80’s, his creation gave me goosebumps. Head over to his site to check out high resolution images of all the minifigures as well as the sets and vehicles including Castle Grayskull.

LEGO Knight Rider K.I.T.T. by Orion Pax

K.I.T.T

A few days ago, we featured the Ghostbusters HQ by Alex Jones, aka Orion Pax, and now he is back with another project that draws us back to the 80’s, K.I.T.T. from the Knight Rider tv series. Orion even manages to fit a 2×3 red light brick to simulate the red scanner in front the 7-stud wide car. Now I want one of these too.

LEGO Ghostbusters Headquarters by Orion Pax

Ghostbusters HQ

I don’t usually feature MOCs but if I do, Orion Pax’s name will probably show up more in the future. World-renowned LEGO genius, Orion Pax, has recreated the famous Hook & Ladder 8 fire station used in the Ghostbusters movies, and as usual, with a high degree of detail. The MOC shows many little details from the movies including the traps and the storage facility in the basement. Not to be overshadowed by the headquarters, Orion has also recreated the most realistic Ecto 1 vehicle I’ve ever seen. He states that the whole project took many, many hours of planning and about 2 months to build. Click on each photo to see a higher resolution. Also take a look at Orion’s page for more of his MOCs.
