The last time I’ve talked about the LEGO Black VIP card was a few weeks ago where I stated that a new batch of cards are being created due to a glitch in the system and now, there’s a new revelation about how to acquire the card. The original deadline to get the card was December 31, 2017 so technically you can’t get it anymore even if you have purchased the set this year but that could be changing according some information that I’ve received.

A reader named Tim purchased the UCS Falcon this past weekend at a New York LEGO Brand Store and the manager there told him that LEGO would be continuing the Black VIP card promotion that ended last year. Tim was then told to verify his LEGO VIP address because he’ll also be getting it as well even though the deadline has passed.

I’m not sure if this is just an isolated incident or if LEGO is actually continuing the Black VIP card promotion. I would suggest asking LEGO customer service before making your purchase to see if they are actually continuing it since the webpage about it still has the old information. Even if you’ve made a purchase of the Falcon this year, it wouldn’t hurt to ask customer service to see what’s going on.

If you’ve purchased the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) before December 31, 2017, you will be eventually getting the black VIP card if you’ve haven’t already. I’ve gotten an update for a reader who emailed in about their experience with LEGO Customer Service about his situation.

It appears there was a glitch in their system with VIPs who have opted out or never consented to physical mailings and their cards weren’t created with the original batch that went out last year. LEGO has since created a new list for those particular VIPs and their cards will be sent out soon.

Also, the rep also stated that any upcoming special promotions that goes with the black VIP card are attached to the VIP account and you don’t actually need to have the physical card on hand. This info is very helpful because I’ve had a lot of questions come in about it.

Hopefully this answers the main questions that have been asked by those who have purchased the UCS Falcon and haven’t gotten their cards yet. Again this only applies to those who got it before last year’s deadline and people who ordered the Falcon after the new year restock will not be getting the card. The LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) won’t be a LEGO exclusive anymore because it is now listed on the Toys R Us website. It isn’t currently available at this time but you can sign up for email notifications to let you know when they will have some in their warehouse. The RWeb# is 810544.

Shop@Home has had limited availability since it was first launched and you can no longer get the Black VIP Card that went with it. I’m going to take a stab in the dark and say that LEGO didn’t have enough to make the rumored 30,000 cards that were planned for this promotion.

If you’re still looking for the UCS Falcon, it may be worth signing up for the TRU email notifications. I’ve had luck with the system on other products so it does work.

There are about two weeks left in the year and for those who are still trying to get the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192), here are some tips for you to potentially get one to get the exclusive Black VIP Card before the end of 2017.

Shop@Home is pretty much out of the question as there has been very low quantities on-hand online for a short period of time. Your best chance to get one is if you live close to a LEGO Brand Store. Either call or visit them and check if their waiting list for the Falcon is close to being done. I’ve have a few reports from readers that say their stores (Palisades Mall for one) have completed their lists and the Falcons are now on a first-come, first-served basis. If they do have some in stock, ask if they can put it on hold and you can hop over there to pick it up. If not, check when their next shipments are and it’s possible there may be some on the trucks. Also you can ask to be put on the waiting list if the stores are still doing them for the next ones that come in.

It’s unfortunate that the Black LEGO VIP Card is only available with a purchase of the UCS Millennium Falcon because there was so much demand and very little quantities for fans, there’s no way that it will pass the reported 30,000 number of cards that are available. If you are a LEGO VIP member, you may have received an email from LEGO regarding the availability for the new LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192). They have extended the VIP only access period through November which means that you must be a VIP member to be able to purchase the set. This also means that the general public won’t be able to purchase it on October 1 since they announced earlier that it will still be temporarily out of stock then. If you’re not a LEGO VIP member, I’m not sure why not, you can easily sign up online.

LEGO has also suggested that you call or visit your nearest LEGO Brand Store starting tomorrow to get put on the wait list for when shipment arrives at the store. Of course, there’s no way of knowing how many sets they will get per shipment so try to get on that list early for a higher chance to secure one.
