Earlier today, the LEGO Dimensions social media pages released a little Adventure World randomizer and at the end, it shows some levels from a couple of upcoming expansion packs which you can play in. In the image above we see the city of Astoria, Oregon from The Goonies Level Pack (71267). If you look real closely, you can see the Astoria Country Club as well as the One Eyed Willy’s cave below.
The other image that is shown is for the LEGO City Fun Pack (71266) where you can see LEGO City itself and some of the locations such as the police station on the bottom left, Albatross Prison on the bottom right, and Jethro Hayes’ Farm on the top left.
Both expansion packs are from Wave 8 which also includes the Hermione Fun Pack (71348) and they will be released on May 9.
TT Games has been fairly quiet about some of the upcoming LEGO Dimensions expansion packs but today they released a little teaser of The Goonies Level Pack (71267). As you can from the clip below, it shows part of the game at One-Eyed Willy’s Pirate Ship and next to it is the octopus from the deleted scene in the movie. If the deleted scene octopus is in the game, I’m sure there will be more Easter eggs in the expansion pack.

The Goonies Level Pack (71267) will be available on May 9 and it includes the Sloth minifigure along with One-Eyed Willy’s Pirate Ship and the Skeleton Organ as the builds. The alternate builds for the ship are the Fanged Fortune and the Inferno Cannon while the Skeleton Organ can turn into a Skeleton Jukebox and Skele-Turkey.
If you’ve been thinking of picking up LEGO Dimensions, Amazon has some good sales on the Starter Packs. The PlayStation 4 version, which has the exclusive Supergirl minifigure, is 50% off the regular price. The XBox One version is also 50% but does not have Supergirl included. The PlayStation 3 version is 40% off ($47.65) while the XBox 360 version is 36% off.
If you’re worried about the rumor of LEGO Dimensions ending, I’m pretty sure that TT Games won’t just completely shut it down. You’ll still be able to play the game but just won’t get any more updates. Besides, there’s is still plenty of content in the near future with The Goonies Level Pack (71267), Hermoine Fun Pack (71348), and LEGO City Fun Pack (71266) all coming out in May and Powerpuff Girls, Beetlejuice, and Teen Titans Go! in the distant future.
Deadline has released some details about content for Cartoon Network this year and there’s new information about the LEGO Dimensions The Powerpuff Girls expansion packs.
It looks like we’ll be getting both a Team Pack and a Fun Pack for the trio. The Powerpuff Girls Team Pack will have Blossom and Bubbles LEGO minifigures while Buttercup will be in the Fun Pack. Both expansion packs will grant access to the Townsville Hub area which has locations from the TV series such as Pokey Oaks elementary, City Hall, Rainbow Land, the Pickle Museum, and Professor Utonium’s House which includes his lab.
There’s no word on release date or pricing but we can guess the Team Pack will be $24.99 while the Fun Pack will be $14.99.
The Powerpuff Girls LEGO DIMENSIONS – LEGO DIMENSIONS, the LEGO toy and videogame hybrid, is adding The Powerpuff Girls to its roster with a new Team Pack and Fun Pack. The Team Pack features Blossom and Bubbles minifigures, and the Fun Pack completes the team with Buttercup. Both packs give access to the Townsville Hub area where players can fly around Townsville and see sights like Pokey Oaks elementary, City Hall, Rainbow Land, the Pickle Museum and of course the girls’ home base complete with Professor Utonium’s lab.
Here’s something that’s interesting coming out of the LEGO Dimensions subreddit. Apparently a company called FigureFun LLC is suing LEGO and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for patent infringement. The company states two patents, 7,001,276 and 7,338,377, are infringing on their rights and are seeking damages.
Users in the subreddit quickly debunked that FigureFun is using a practice called patent trolling. This is when a company obtains the rights to patents to make a profit from licensing or through the courts which is what is happening here.
According to public records, FigureFun LLC was set up on April 4, 2016, a whole year after LEGO Dimensions was introduced so this lawsuit is coming in pretty late. It’ll be interesting to see the outcome of this lawsuit, if any.
You can read up on the whole lawsuit here.

Here’s an very interesting rumor involving the future of LEGO Dimensions and it’s not looking too good for the popular toys-to-life game. Bricks to Life has put out a report that LEGO Dimensions may be coming to an end sooner than we thought. We already knew that TT Games had promised three years of content but that looks like that may be cut short. I’ve seen various reports on it but I’ve held off until there were more information about it.
Bricks to Life was given this information from their sources and it also corresponds to what Just2Good stated last month which he took a lot of flak for. There’s also in-game content that may also suggest the same thing where some content were removed in the latest update. Furthermore, it was also stated that the company held a meeting to review their upcoming games and LEGO Dimensions went from top of the list to the bottom. Coupled that with the very deep discounts of the expansion packs recently, everything seems to be correlate that the game will be coming to an end.
Of course there’s still more LEGO Dimensions expansion packs that will be coming out in the near future including The Goonies Level Pack (71267), Hermione Fun Pack (71348), and the LEGO City Fun Pack (71266) which are all coming out in May. There’s also some unannounced expansion packs from various themes including The Powerpuff Girls, Beetlejuice, and Teen Titan’s Go! which we haven’t officially seen yet. Then there’s that Lord Vortech rumor as well.
There are a lot of hardcore fans of the the game and some may be disappointed to read about it. Head on over to Bricks to Life to see their in-depth analysis on the fate of LEGO Dimensions in the link above. If you can’t get to it because of site issues, check out the cached version of it.
