LEGO Ideas Sailboat Adventure (40487) Promotion Available to General Public

The LEGO Ideas Sailboat Adventure (40487) promotion is now available to the general public. If you’re not a VIP member (why not?), you can now get your hands on it as well with purchases of $200 or more. Not surprisingly, it did not sell out to VIPs in the first couple of days of the month because of the fairly high purchasing requirement to get it. The promotion will run until August 29 or while supplies last.

BrickLink Designer Program Relaunch Now Live

The BrickLink Designer Program has relaunched again in which you can pre-order some of the projects from the first crowdfunding round. This allows the Kakapo, Great Fishing Boat, Sheriff’s Safe, and Pursuit of Flight to be able to sell up to 10,000 sets to match the Castle in the Forest however you won’t be able to order the castle since it already reached 10k. BrickLink/LEGO is also setting a maximum order limit of one set per customer so more people have a chance to buy it. Let’s see how fast these will sell out this time.

LEGO Ideas Knight Rider: KITT and the FLAG Mobile Command Unit Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Knight Rider: KITT and the FLAG Mobile Command Unit by HenkvdL05 is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The build is based on the F.L.A.G. Mobile commmand unit seen in the show and it also includes K.I.T.T. as well. The project also proposes minifigures of Michael Knight, Devon Miles, Bonnie Barstow, Reginald Cornelius.

The project now joins Imperial Island Fort, Movie Set, Lifeguard’s Shack, A-Frame Cabin, Spaceballs, The Costume Store, Boston Dynamics Spot 1:4 Scale Motorized Model, Medieval Tavern, Tavern Under the Snow, Women of Computing, Working Mini Golf Course, Brick Walk, Medieval Harbor, Floating Island (Using Tensegrity), Scooby Doo Mystery Machine, Aircraft Engine Workshop, Airport Firetruck Rosenbauer PANTHER 8×8, GameStop Classic Shop, Traditional German Cottage, and Outer Solar System as the ones to reach the Second 2021 Review Stage.

New August 2021 LEGO Sets Now Available on LEGO Shop

It’s finally August and that means that LEGO has released a ton of new sets for purchase on the LEGO Shop. This includes some of the sets that had delayed releases as compared to other parts of the world. There are some larger sets for AFOLs including the UCS Republic Gunship (75309) and the Volkswagen T2 Camper Van (10279). Also dropping for VIPs from August 1-3 is the LEGO Ideas Sailboat Adventure (40487) which you can get with purchases of $200 or more, while supplies last. The general public can get in the deal from Augusts 4-29.

Some other promotions that you can get include the LEGO Classic Masters’ Book of Secrets (5006978) with Classic purchases of $60 or more and the LEGO Marvel Shang-Chi and the Great Protector (30454) polybag with Marvel purchases of $40 or more.

LEGO August 2021 Sets to be Released Tonight

Tonight at midnight EST, LEGO is set to drop the summer 2021 sets on the LEGO Shop. If you don’t know what will be coming out, below is a list of everything that should be available for purchase. For the US, there are more new sets than the rest of the world since we had a delayed release for a few themes.

In addition, there will be some great promotional items available with your purchases. First is the LEGO Ideas Sailboat Adventure (40487) with $200 or more. Reminder BrickLink Designer Program Crowdfunding Restarts August 3 at 12pm PST

If you have forgotten, here’s a reminder that the continuation of the first round of crowdfunding for the BrickLink Designer Program will be starting up again on August 3. There will be four sets that will be made available again which include Great Fishing Boat, Pursuit of Flight, Sheriff’s Safe, and Kakapo. The reason for this is that the Castle in the Forest somehow had 10,000 orders go through and to make it fair, BrickLink is allowing the other projects to do so as well. This also means that the Castle will not be taking any more pre-orders since it already hit 10,000. BIONICLE Legends and Particle Accelerator have already been eliminated so they won’t be up for pre-orders as well. Crowdfunding will start again at 3pm EST/12pm PST so get you fingers ready.

LEGO Ideas Sailboat Adventure (40487) Official Images

The official images of the LEGO Ideas Sailboat Adventure (40487) gift with purchase set are now online and we can see up close what it looks like. The set has 330 pieces and you can get for free with purchases of $200 or more. There will be two promo periods that are set up for it. VIPs will get first dibs on it from August 1-3 and the general public can get it from August 4-29.

The set didn’t stray away too much from Yan Chevalier’s design too much and it pretty much kept all the main features on it including the splashing pair of dolphins. The price threshold is tied for the highest purchasing requirement but luckily the summer 2021 sets will be available so it won’t be too difficult to hit the limit.
