It project comprises of two of the super-lightweight sports cars in yellow and dark green. Another details of the cars is that there is an option to remove the hood to see the engine details.

Overall, the project shows off a very sleek and realistic look to the iconic cars and looks to be a very fun build. Labyrinth Marble Maze Announced as Next Official LEGO Ideas Set

LEGO Ideas has just announced the results of the Third 2014 LEGO Ideas Review Stage and the next project to become an official set is the Labyrinth Marble Maze by JKBrickworks. As a result, it is the first board game type project to become an official set. As a kid, I remember playing with the original wooden Labyrinth game and this brings back tons of memories. Soon a new generation of kids with get to enjoy this classic game as well.

LEGO is also still considering the Star Citizen F7A Hornet so we could again potentially see two sets becoming official sets from this review stage. As you can see, there were many projects that were worthy of becoming an official LEGO set but alas there could only be one winner (maybe two).

The First 2015 LEGO Review Stage is currently going on and the results of those projects (shown below) are expected to be announced this fall. Around that same time period, more details of The Big bang Theory, Doctor Who, and WALL•E sets will be revealed as well.

LEGO Ideas Daft Punk Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Daft Punk project by Autorazr is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The project just made it into the First 2015 Review Stage in the nick of time. Daft Punk is probably one of the most well-known electronic musical groups in music history with their music still being popular after two decades and showing no signs of slowing down.

The project that was proposed consists of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo as minifigures as well as their music turntables, sequencers, and mixers. The Daft Punk project doesn’t seem like much but LEGO does have to review it along with a whopping 12 other LEGO Ideas projects including The Discworld, Science Adventures, Medieval Market Street, Disney Princess Frozen Elsa’s Ice Palace, Douglas DC-3, Bricksauria – Tyrannosaurus Rex, the International Space Station, The Golden Girls, The Legend of Zelda: King of Red Lions Play Set, the RMS Titanic, 1969 Chevrolet Corvette, and Small YELLOW.

Big Changes For LEGO Ideas

To celebrate the first birthday, LEGO Ideas has made some important changes to the lifespan of projects. Every project will now be given one year (365 days) to achieve 10,000 supporters and will be awarded more time when they hit certain milestones. For projects that get 1,000 supporters, they will get an additional 6 months (182 days) and if projects reach 5,000 supporters before time is up, they will get another 6 month extension (182 days). That means projects now have the potential to get a maximum of two years (729 days) to get 10,000 supporters.

For those projects that are currently very close to hitting 10k with only a few days left to go, they can now breathe a sigh of relief as they now have more time to get the required number of supporters. This change also helps projects that aren’t IP-related ones as they sometimes get looked over for projects that do have IPs so that’s cool. Head over to the blog post to read more about the major changes coming to LEGO Ideas.
