LEGO Jurassic World and LEGO Marvel’s Avengers Video Games Announced

LEGO Jurassic World Video Game

If the announcement of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes UCS S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier (76042) wasn’t enough, Warner Bros. also has an announcement today. TT Games will be releasing more LEGO games in 2015 including LEGO Jurassic World and LEGO Marvel’s Avengers as well as some handlheld and mobile titles which includes LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin which we already talked about.

We first saw a sneak peek at the LEGO Jurassic World game when a T-Rex and the theme song showed up at the credits of LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham but it seems that WB and TT Games already had something in mind. The game will consist of the first three Jurassic Park movies as well as the upcoming Jurassic World movie and it will be released in June.

The LEGO Marvel’s Avengers video game will feature the characters and storylines from the Avengers movie as well as the Avengers: Age of Ultron and more. It is slated to be released in Fall 2015.

First Look at Jurassic World Indominus Rex Confirms Leaked LEGO Dinosaur Mold

There’s a new image of some of the dinosaurs that will be appearing in Jurassic World. Some of these dinosaurs included in this image are the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptors, Dimorphidons, and the first-look at the new D-Rex. It also has gone through a name change since we last talked about it which went from Diabolus Rex to Indominus Rex.

How does that translate to the leaked LEGO mold we saw before? Notice the spikes on top of the head? The leaked LEGO white dinosaur mold also has these spikes on the head so it pretty much confirms that it will be the new D-Rex. Also note the coloring of the D-Rex is not as dark as the T-Rex but it seems LEGO made the coloring a little too white on their version. The other thing that kind of bugs me a little is that the D-Rex doesn’t look at big as the T-Rex. Maybe it’s just the angle but it does look a little smaller however the LEGO dinosaurs looks to be the same size.

We already have seen the confirmed list of the sets that will be coming out around June and the Ultra Dino (75919) set could be the one that the Indominus Rex appears in. Stay tuned as we’ll probably see more pics of the LEGO Jurassic World sets as we get closer to the release of the movie.

LEGO Jurassic World Official Set Names Revealed

JurassicWorld.org has revealed the official set names list of the upcoming LEGO Jurassic World sets. The image above comes from a Toys R Us UK inventory system. I’ve worked with the TRU inventory system and can confirm that the image is legit as well. Before we get to the list, be warned of potential SPOILERS that might come out of the set list.

Pteranodon Capture (75915)
Dilophosaurus Ambush (75916)
Raptor Rampage (75917)
T-Rex Tracker (75918)
Ultra Dino (75919)
Raptor Escape (75920)

From what we can see from the list, we get a wide variety of dinosaurs that will be included in the LEGO Jurassic World sets including Pteranodon, Dilophosaurus, Velociraptor, and T-Rex. The Ultra Dino set might include the Diabolus Rex (D-Rex) figure that we’ve seen leaked a few months ago. Now that you’ve seen the list, what do you think of the sets so far?

First Official Image of LEGO Jurassic World

LEGO Jurassic World

Jurassic Bricks (Hoth Bricks subsidy) has found the first official image of the LEGO Jurassic World sets from a LEGO catalog. From what the image shows, there are four dinosaurs represented: Tyrannosaurus Rex, Pteranodon and two different colored Velociraptors. We can also see the Owen (Chris Pratt) and Dr. Henry Wu (B.D. Wong) minifigures as well as two unidentified characters. Also some keen-eyed readers noticed that Wu is holding a piece of amber which is a moonstone piece from the LEGO Monster Fighter line.

As for the setting, this could be one of the six new sets that will be released in the line. The image also notes the sets will be released in June when the movie premieres in the US on June 12th. Also note that the dinosaurs depicted are the same ones that were leaked on TaoBao a few months ago.

LEGO Jurassic World Teaser in LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Credits

After 14 hours of actual time playing LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, I’ve finally finished the story mode for it. During the credits, there was a cool little surprise waiting for you. In the image above, you can see a Tyrannosaurus Rex showing up with the Jurassic Park theme song.

As we know by now, LEGO will be producing official Jurassic World sets next year. We also reported that there’s possibility a Jurassic Park/World video game also coming out next year so the scene in the credits of LEGO Batman 3 could be a teaser of what’s to come.

Stay tuned as we’ll be trying to 100% complete the game in the next few days and bringing you some helpful guides shortly after that.

Jurassic Park/Jurassic World Projects Now Allowed on LEGO Ideas

Earlier this month, Universal announced that The LEGO Group will be one of the licensing partners for the upcoming Jurassic World movie. As a result, LEGO has resolved their licensing conflicts with Jurassic Park/Jurassic World. Earlier this year, LEGO Ideas did the same with Doctor Who which resulted in an abundance of Doctor Who projects including two that achieved 10,000 supporters.

If you remember from last year, all the Jurassic Park related projects were removed including the one from Senteosan after only 6,495 supporters. This was because Hasbro/Kre-O signed on to produce construction sets for Jurassic World but that contract has since expired and The LEGO Group now owns the rights to produce the sets.

As of a few days ago, people are now allowed again to post Jurassic Park/World projects on LEGO Ideas but whether or not they are able to pass the review stage and become an official set remains to be seen.
