New LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man Minifigure Revealed

A couple of days ago, we reported of a new Iron Man minifigure from the 2013 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets. Eurobricks has posted another Iron Man minifig and this looks like the new MK XLII (42) suit. As you can see in the image below, the one on the right looks drastically different from the on the left which makes me think that the one we reported earlier could be the Heartbreaker suit. The Mark XLII suit has torso printing that looks very similar to the one we saw at Comic Con 2012. The only downside is that it does not have any arm printing. So what do you think of the MK XLII Iron Man minifigure?

LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes Superman Metropolis Showdown (76002) Revealed

USA Today has posted a couple images of the new LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes Superman Metropolis Showdown (76002). This is a new version of the Superman minifigure and is based on the Man of Steel movie starring Henry Cavill. The set also contains General Zod, played in the movie by Michael Shannon, in his black suit. Other parts of the set includes an antenna tower and a yellow vehicle. The Superman Metropolis Showdown will be available this summer and will retail for $12.99. What do you think of the look of this smaller set?

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man 2013 Minifigure Leaked

Stud from YourCreativeFriends has informed me there are now images of the new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man 2013 minifigure. My guess is that the minifigure is from the Iron Man Malibu Mansion Attack (76007) set but I can’t confirm that as of this time. From my knowledge of the Iron Man comics, Tony Stark wears a different suit in the Extremis storyline so it might not be the minifig in the Iron Man Extremis Sea Port Battle (76006). In the Iron Man vs. The Mandarin: Ultimate Battle (76008), the set mentions Heartbreaker suit but I can’t find an image to compare it to. Could the minifig be wearing the unseen Heartbreaker suit? The suit on the minifig looks a lot like the one seen in the beginning of the Iron Man 3 trailer but not sure which version of the suit it is. Update: ~~After seeing Minifigures’ comment and confirming with a friend who’s into the Iron Man comics, the suit in question could be a version of the Mark V portable suit.~~

After seeing many discussions on what the suit could be, we’re still not totally sure what the suit is called. It looks similar to other suits but there are subtle differences. We’ll just leave naming the suit in the air until we have confirmation.

LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes Robin and Redbird Cycle (30166) Polybag Preview?

Flickr user, smokebelch, has created a model of what could be the new LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes Robin and Redbird Cycle (30166) polybag being released later this year. The build uses Brickset’s parts inventory which has been pulled from LEGO’s official replacements part page. Since there is no official images of the polybag yet, this is as close as we’re going to get until we see some real pictures from LEGO. LEGO Batman: The Movie Exclusive Minifigure Revealed

Back in October of last year at the New York Comic Con, we reported that Warner Brothers will be releasing LEGO Batman: The Movie – DC Super Heroes Unite. Thanks to Brick Heroes, we now know there will be a Clark Kent exclusive minifigure with the Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Pack. As you can see, Clark has his shirt open to reveal his Superman suit underneath. The movie will be 71 minutes long and will be released May 21, 2013 with a retail price of $24.99. You can pre-order the movie now on Amazon.com.

LEGO at the 2013 London Toy Fair

Today in Kensington, London, the 2013 London Toy Fair kicked off. LEGO has a big presence there showing off the upcoming sets from a wide variety of themes. Our friends at Brick Fanatics made the rounds today and has given a list of sets that were on display. Unfortunately, photography was not allowed but so we have to wait a little longer to see what the new sets look like. It’s also nice to see the pricing we we can gauge how big the sets are without actually seeing images at this time.

Super Heroes – Nice to know what minifigures are included in the sets such as the War Machine we saw earlier.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spiderman: Spider-Cycle Chase (76004) Review

Along with the Arctic Batman vs Mr. Freeze Aquaman on Ice (76000), the Spiderman: Spider-Cycle Chase (76004) is the other sub-$20 set in the 2013 Super Heroes line. It contains 237 pieces and retails for $19.99, a very good $0.08/piece. The box contains three numbered bags, one instruction booklet, and one small comic book.
