LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spider-Man’s Doc Ock Ambush (6873) Now Available at Walmart

The new LEGO Super Heroes Spider-Man’s Doc Ock Ambush (6873)icon set has shown up on Walmart’s website, earlier than the expected August 1 released. The price is listed at $29.97 which is less than what we thought it would be when it was first announced. That is a definite thumbs up in my book. Unfortunately, it shows that it is out of stock online. LEGO fans sure jumped on it quick! Maybe there are some in stores soon?

Scheming Doctor Octopus has captured Iron Fist and is conducting experiments on him, trying to steal his superpowers. Help Spider-Man sneak in through the air vent and swoop down on Doc Ock to release Iron Fist! Then stop the wicked doctor from fleeing on his missile-firing car!

    LEGO Ninjago & Man of Steel News

    LEGO Community Coordinator Kevin Hinkle revealed that the LEGO Ninjago sets will be discountinued in 2013. However, there will be a Season 2 on Cartoon Network and will be at least one more wave coming out in 2013. Ninjago will be replaced by an unknown series but FBTB notes from Variety that Warner Brothers has a licencing agreement with LEGO to produce sets for the new Man of Steel movie. This is some awesome new because it adds more to to the Super Heroes line.

    LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spider-Man’s Doc Ock Ambush (6873) Preview

    There is now an image of the new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spider-Man’s Doc Ock Ambush (6873). The set will be based on the new Ultimate Spider-Man animated series on Disney XD later this year. There will be 362 pieces and retails for $39.99. There will be 3 minifigures in the set: Spider-Man, Doctor Ock, and Iron Fist.

    From what we can see from the box, Iron Fist is tied up in Doc Ock’s lab and Spider-Man is trying to save him. There is also a small vehicle that Doc Ock comes in on.

    LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes Batmobile and the Two-Face Chase (6864) Review

    The Batmobile and the Two-Face Chase (6864) is the third LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes set to be review by The Brick Fan. This set retails for $49.99 and contains 531 pieces. This set has one of the better price to piece ratio especially for a licensed set at $0.09/piece. There are four numbered bags, two instruction booklets, and comic book #5.

    LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Hulk’s Helicarrier Breakout (6868) Review

    For our fourth LEGO Marvel Super Heroes set and the third Avengers themed set, we get Hulk’s Helicarrier Breakout (6868). This set contains 389 pieces and retails for $49.99 which is about $0.13/piece. There are three numbered bags, one instruction booklet, and comic book #3.

    LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Loki’s Cosmic Cube Escape (6867) Review

    Continuing with the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes series and the Avengers theme, this time we get Loki’s Cosmic Cube Escape (6867). This set contains 181 pieces and retails for $19.99 for a $0.11/piece ratio. Similar to the other Super Heroes set, this one is minifigure dependent. The set has two unnumbered, one instruction booklet, and comic #2.

    LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Captain America’s Avenging Cycle (6865) Review

    Although the smallest set of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets as well as the Super Heroes line so far in 2012, Captain America’s Avenging Cycle doesn’t disappoint. This set supposedly recreates a scene in the new Avengers movie. It contains 72 pieces and retails for $12.99. The set has a $0.18/piece ratio but you do get three minifigures. There are two unnumbered bags and a small instruction booklet.
