There are now some new rumors of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2021 sets. There will be a wide variety of sets including a few for the Eternals movie which will premiere in theaters in February. Also, some old characters will be returning including Ghost Rider who hasn’t been in a set since 2016 and this new one might by the Robbie Reyes version. The theme will also include a bust style set featuring Carnage.

As always, these are purely rumors until LEGO announces them or images show up at an online shop.

It’s been a couple of weeks since the first DC FanDome event was held online and there were some sweepstakes that were held including one for the LEGO DC Supergirl minifigure. As of this post, I haven’t seen one announcement for the drawing or any potential winners on social media saying they won. The official rules state that the drawing would occur within approximately five business days after the drawing entry period which ended on August 23. It has already been 15 business days since and not a peep from anyone. Was this a scam and people wasted most of their time trying to enter the contest?

A week ago Black Panther star, Chadwick Boseman, passed away which was a shock for the whole world and to honor him, The Brick Show Shop is offering free building instructions for a LEGO Black Panther statue. It was designed by Tyler Clites, who along with his wife, was the winner of LEGO Masters.

In the download, you’ll be getting PDF building instructions along with a parts list complete with BrickLink part numbers and quantities as well as an .io file to create a BrickLink Want List to order the required parts. The whole zip file is 34.3 MB.

A short while ago, DC Comics announced Batman Day will be happening on September 19 and it looks like there will be some LEGO related things happening during the event. According to the press release, LEGO will be releasing exclusive Batman products to celebrate the day. There’s no word on what they will be but there’s a rumor going around of a new UCS style 1989 Batwing. LEGO could either announce it then or release it on that day with the announcement being a few days/weeks before. They could also do an event exclusive similar to the DC FanDome Wonder Woman (77906) or another minifigure giveaway. Of course this is all speculation and we’ll have to wait and see what LEGO has in store.

(August 31, 2020 – Burbank, CA) – DC today unveiled plans for a global Batman Day celebration on September 19, 2020, inviting fans of all ages around the world to participate in a wide range of Batman-themed activities to honor the iconic DC Super Hero. For the first time, fans have the opportunity to drive along with a “Batman and The Riddler” theme on Waze. And to complete the experience, you can listen to the Waze and DC Super Hero or Super-Villain playlists on Spotify while driving via the Waze Audio Player feature.

LEGO has released a statement regarding the LEGO DC FanDome Wonder Woman (77906) set which went on sale this past weekend here in the US. The set is classified as an “event item” and not a regional exclusive. It was indeed supposed to be a San Diego Comic Con 2020 exclusive and DC FanDome was a way for LEGO to sell the set but fans were disappointed that it would not be sold outside of the US. LEGO has also updated the wording on Shop@Home to clarify it as well. Pre-orders can still be placed on it at Shop@Home and on Walmart.com and it will ship on October 1.

There’s no word yet on if the LEGO Star Wars Bespin Duel (75294) is classified as an event item as well but I’m guessing it will be.

It turns out this set was originally going to be the 2020 San Diego Comic Con exclusive. Since that SDCC was canceled they found this weekends event provided a relevant opportunity to release the set. While the new virtual DC event was global, the product was not produced to be global and will therefore only be available to be in the US. There was consideration that this appeared to be a regional exclusive set but it is actually an event item. The set is also being sold on Walmart.com but this appears to be US shipping limitation as well.
