LEGO October 2013 Deals and Promotions

LEGO October 2013 Calendar

October is upon us and LEGO will be having many deals and promotions at brand stores as well as on Shop@Home. First is the Double VIP points you will be able to get during the whole month.

Continuing with last month’s promotion of the LEGO Star Wars Clone Trooper Lieutenant (5001709) minifigure, you will be able to get one for FREE with LEGO Star Wars purchases of $50 or more.

From October 14-31, you can get the first of two LEGO Creator Holiday Sets (40082) with purchases of $99 or more.

The LEGO Creator Seasonal Winter Village Market (10235) will be available for sale to the public on October 1st. It was previously available early in September for VIP members.

There are also some events going on in LEGO stores including a FREE Witch Monthly Mini Model Build on October 1st and a Fire Safety Week Mini Model Build on October 10th. On October 31st, if you visit your local LEGO store in your Halloween costume, you can get a LEGO Monster Fighters The Monster Key Chain while supplies last.

It looks like it’s going to be an expensive yet fun-fill LEGO month for everyone.

Toys R Us Bricktober 2013 Exclusive Minifigure Collections Revealed

October starts next week and Toys R Us stores will have their annual Bricktober promotion. FBTB reports for Bricktober 2013, there will be three exclusive 5-pack Minifigure Collections available during the month. There’s no word on how much you have to spend to get the specific collection for each week. If it’s the same as last year, you will have to spend $59.99 or more to get it. Also note that there are only three collections available this year instead of four. We’re not sure if there will be anything available for the fourth week of October.

Toys R Us Canada will also be having Bricktober happening at their stores. According to their site, there will be various things happening starting this Friday.

Friday, September 27th – FREE Minifigure Vintage Collection 5 Pack (Vol.1) with purchase of $75 or more on any LEGO Building Sets

FREE LEGO City Seaplane when you spend $30 or more on any LEGO Building Sets.

Saturday, October 19th – Minifigure Trade In Event – Bring in a LEGO Minifigure and trade it in for another one with our sales associates! Just look for a store associate wearing a LEGO badge! Visit your local Toys R Us store to participate!

Saturday October 26th from 11am-1pm – Superman Make N’ Take Event – Build your very own LEGO Superman Shield and bring it home with you!

LEGO Shop Minifigure Polybag (5001622) Details

A couple of weeks ago, we reported there was a new polybag of a LEGO Shop Minifigure Polybag (5001622) with a 2×4 red brick. We weren’t sure of how to obtain the polybag until now. BrickPicker user Brickinfinite has posted how they have managed to get one. They’ve recently received an order from Shop@Home and it was included with the package. There was also a note card saying:

Free Exclusive LEGO Shop Minifigure!

As a thank you for shopping at the Official LEGO Shop and to celebrate the launch of our mobile site, a FREE LEGO Shop Minifigure has been included with your order.

This minifigure is exclusive to the LEGO Shop and can’t be found anywhere else!

So there you go. It was just a small thank you present for shopping online and for LEGO to promote their new mobile site that recently launched. Brickinfinite also mentions that he just made a purchase through the website although he doesn’t say how much he spent to get it. We’ll give an update as soon as we hear something.

LEGO Creator Expert Winter Village Market (10235)

As reported last month, the new LEGO Creator Expert Seasonal Winter Village Market (10235) is now available for VIP members at LEGO stores and on Shop@Home. You have to be logged in with your LEGO ID to purchase the set.

Here’s the dilemma if you want to purchase it now. There is still time to get the LEGO Creator Mini Volkswagen T1 Camper Van (40079) or you can wait until next month. Why? During the month of October between the 14th-31st, you can get the first of two FREE exclusive 2013 Holiday sets (40082). This small Christmas tree lot set will go nicely with the Winter Village Market. The offers don’t stop there. You will also get Double VIP points with your purchase so it’s a win-win situation. You get a FREE Holiday set and double up on the points you can get.

LEGO October/Christmas 2013 Promotions

LEGO October 2013 Promotions

Although the LEGO September 2013 promotions have just started but we already know about the October 2013 promotions. How fast is that?

First, October is Double VIP Points. Yes, it’s back! For every dollar spent, you will be able to earn double the amount of VIP points for every purchase. Not a shabby deal if you’re waiting to purchase some of the larger sets.

Next up are the 2013 Holiday sets. They will be similar to the 2011 versions of 3300020 and 3300002. From October 14-31, you will be able to get the first part of the set with purchases of $99 or more. You will be able to complete the set with the second part during Black Friday weekend on November 29 – December 2nd. The Brick Owl has posted the parts list for set 40082 which is the Christmas tree lot seen above and 2 minifigures and 40083 which looks like some sort of vehicle with a driver.

October also continues with the Clone Trooper Lieutenant (5001709) polybag minifigure. You will be able to get it if you spend $50 or more on LEGO Star Wars sets. Why not combine all the deals and spend $99 or more on Star Wars sets and get Double VIP points, the 40082 Holiday set, and the Clone Trooper Lieutenant. It’s now time to plan out your shopping strategies for the holidays. Get to it!

LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 (31313) Now Available at Shop@Home

It is September and the new LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 is now available for sale at LEGO stores and on Shop@Home. The set will contain 601 pieces and will retail for $349.99. It latest version of MINDSTORMS line comes fully equipped with many new features such as an infrared sensor, a new Linux-based firmware, a USB port, and an SD card slot. It will be using Linux firmware that will be compatible with Android and iOS operating systems. The EV3 will also have Bluetooth support so you can program the machine using your mobile devices. If you do decide to pick up the EV3, remember there are 12 additional bonus models on the MINDSTORMS minisite.
