For every purchase over £55 during November 16-20, you’ll be given a scratch card. There, you’ll be given a chance to win either the LEGO Lester minifigure or the LEGO Creator Parrot (30472) polybag. This move by LEGO is very questionable and will certainly be met with disappointment by fans. This will also feed the secondary market and make this minifigure a pretty pricey one. Hopefully, this isn’t a beginning of a trend with the scratchers.

I don’t think it would be bad at a £10 or £20 level to make it “chance”. At £55 it should just be guaranteed.

Disappointing. I figured I wouldn’t have a real chance at getting this figure anyway since I’m on the “other side of the pond” but still … Not going to feed the scalpers, that’s for sure so I’ll do without.

This is nothing new. If you’ve been to conventions, you only have a 50/50 chance at getting anything at all. This is generous.
Pretty Disgraceful indeed. I hope they get a lot of backlash for this. Any other company that disrespects it’s fan base like this would quickly go out of business (for good reason). I was really looking forward to getting one of these, now I’m just left wondering why I bother collecting minifigures at all. Shameful.
I’m in the UK and one of my orders the other day came with an extra free parrot polybag, with a note saying that it was an extra free gift… It feels like they must’ve overstocked on parrots and understocked on minifigures and this is a way of controlling their stock (easier to get a ton of scratch cards with a set number of figures than it is to guarantee a figure for everyone, I bet anything that the parrots are more common as well)). But it’s an incredibly cheeky and annoying move. I’m going to make a special trip to the store when it opens, but now I’m going to have to pay for everything I get seperately to give myself as many chances as I can, and no doubt end up with a boatload of parrots.
