Next week is Valentine’s Day and it’s now a good time to take a look at the LEGO BrickHeadz Valentine’s Bear (40379). The set contains 150 pieces and retails for $9.99. The contents of the box include three unnumbered bags and the instructions.
Like with many other LEGO BrickHeadz builds, it starts off with the legs of the character and it builds upwards. The bear is actually in a sitting position which is similiar to the Lucky Cat (40436) from earlier this year. The body has a couple of heart pieces in the front and a 1×1 round plate for the tail. The hands are able to hold a red heart sign.
The head is your usual style using SNOT bricks to give it its shape. The eyes are the commonly used printed tile pieces and the nose uses a 1×4 circle tile.
The large baseplate has some checkered tiles for a picnic blanket but I wish it would have went throughout instead of just the two sides of the grass. On one side, there is a honey jar along with a flying bee using the trans-clear pole. The other side of the grass has some plants that also has some heart pieces. You’re left with another heart piece as an extra part.
Overall, the LEGO BrickHeadz Valentine’s Bear (40379) is a cute little set that is a good addition to your collection or as a gift. The picnic blanket seems a bit off since it is cut off in the middle but otherwise I do like the extras on the grassy areas.
