LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Bat-Pod (5004590) Parts List & Building Instructions

Back in June, there was a contest by LEGO to giveaway a limited edition LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Bat-Pod (5004590). I was told that winners were sent emails with the tracking number and the sets have already been shipped out. Reddit user uacrobi has already received theirs and they were nice enough to provide a parts list so you can start finding the necessary parts to build your own. They will be providing the building instructions in due time as well. The Bat-Pod (5004590) contains 311 pieces and also includes a very nifty looking box which looks similar to the exclusive sets from San Diego Comic Con except that it’s twice the length. If you’re in need of the parts, head on over to BrickLink to find sellers that have them. Below is the parts list and I’ll do a post of the building instructions when they are available.

Update: As promised, the OP has uploaded the building instructions for the Bat-Pod. The original copy was 100MB but I’ve condensed the file size to less than 20MB without losing quality. You can download it here. Just rotate the PDF clockwise to see it the right way.

Building your own will not be an easy or cheap task seeing as the wheels for the Batman Tumbler are used here also. BrickLink going rate is $17 per wheel.

    • Brad

They’re only $1.77 in the Bricks & Pieces service on lego.com.

      • Batmanofbaylor

He/she is referring to the tires. They doubled in price overnight and are selling for $45+ now. I lucked out and got them for $19.50 each.

        • Brad

So was I, but they’re out of stock on B&P now.

  2. Tino

Are those the same wheels as in Tumbler?

    • Allen

      Yes they are.

  3. firegoalie

The parts list has a typo involving the wheels. It says 4634019 when it should say 4634091. You can buy them for $1.77 each from “Bricks & Pieces” on Lego.com. You can also get the tires from S@H for $11.02 each.

    • Allen

      Thanks!

      • firegoalie

You’re welcome. Thank you for all you do!

The typo was on the original post on Reddit. I was going through and searching for the parts I needed, and discovered there isn’t a 4634019 piece.

There are online tools, such as sejda.com, that allow you to rotate pages of a pdf file, so you don’t have to turn your screen to view it properly.

Hi, OP here. I fixed the part list in the original post. I have also re-scanned a much better version of the instructions.

    • Brad

      Much better, thanks.

Also it would have been nice to have been ASKED for my permission to repost my pictures and PDF first.

    • Angelia

Will you able to share the PDF instruction here or by email ?? thanks a lot !!

  7. NinjaPleez

Any clue on total cost before shipping? Roughly?

  8. Guest

Just curious, do the wheels rotate like in the movie?

  9. 陳里奧

Just to confirm element no 6037869 is correct.
As i cant find from lego.com

    Thx!

Wow, that is a cool build. Thank you so much for posting the part list and instructions 🙂

If possible, can anyone show me how one can search all the parts above and somehow do a big search on brikclink to see which stores has all the parts? Or one simply has to type & search each part one by one and hope it can be found in a store or across multiple stores. etc.

Looking for an easy way to buy all the parts in Bricklink without search each parts individually and hope it can be purchased in one store or two to save on shipping etc.

    Thanks.

What’s the chance that Lego will someday product the set for public purchase? It would really help us to get it without spending a ton on brick purchases… the 2 rubber tires cost a lot! 🙁

    • Kyle Wright

Yeah, the tires have only been made with two sets, this and the Tumbler. For your second question, the easiest way to use BrickLink is to create a wanted list with all the parts on it. This will show a list of sellers for each part. From this point, unfortunately you have to manually compare lists and find the optimal buyers that have the most parts/best prices

  13. Batmanofbaylor

I ordered everything on BrickList on Saturday and it’s coming out to about $130. Not awful, I guess.

    • wuju

Are you able to find it from one store? If not, how many across? Thanks.

      • Batmanofbaylor

I ordered from 9 different shops.

  14. 陳里奧

Sorry if somebody can offer help…. I found all items except 4623002…..Bricklink doesnt have it at all

    • Robin Kwakman

Yeah, I’ve got the same problem 🙁

      • Allen

That’s because they’ve all been sold out and no sellers have them at this time.

        • 陳里奧

So no way to find this item?

          • George

They show up on Lego bricks and pieces but are out of stock right now. The same as the tires. I was told the tired are backordered until the end of the month.

          • Jean

I called in Lego today. 4623002 and all other colors related to are discontinued at the Lego Brick and Pieces. Other third party websites seem to have run out of them as well. I guess the best bet would be to purchase the whole hero sets to get those pieces.

          • 陳里奧

OMG…. discontinued? ….i have searched that Hero Factory Bulk 3.0 (2182) has 2 pieces on each set.

          • Jean

I know this is such a hassle, but you should grab 2 of Lego 44027 which gives you total of 6 pieces of 4623002. I got mine from ToysRUs.com. Target already sold out. It costed me $88CDN… Just need to get tires and one more part

          • Kyle Wright

Thanks for the tip Jean! Indeed that seems to be the best option. Although I’m curious where part #4623002 comes from. Isn’t it #92222?

          • Jean

Hi I believe 92222 is the part number for any color of that part, but 4623002 is specific part with the color used in the bat pod.

          • 陳里奧

i have ordered a pair of tires from Bricklink from Singapore. Try if any luck on it!

  15. Batmanofbaylor

CORRECTION: The listing has part 300226, which is a 2×3 black brick. The correct part is 306226 which is a round 1×1 barrel.

    • Jean

yes i just realized after i received my shipment…. i guess it will take a while to put these all together :0
