In addition to the new elements in the LEGO Pick-A-Brick Wall, the Build-A-Minifigure bar at the LEGO Stores also recently got some new items as well. Yesterday while I was checking out the very cool SDCC-themed community window, I also took a look at some of the new offerings at the minifigure bar.
A couple of things that may be new to the bar are some random torsos and legs from the Collectible Minifigures line. For the torsos, there were the Fitness Instructor from Series 5, the Hippie from Series 7, and even the vendor from the Balloon Cart (40108) polybag. For the legs, the selection included the Pop Star and Weightlifter from Series 2, the Hazmat Guy from Series 4, and the Boxer from Series 5.
A new piece that is available for the first time that I know of is the ghost shroud with open mouth. This pieces takes the place of the hair/hat piece so if you want some more ghosts in your collection, here’s another way to get some. The other new piece is for the accessory and that is the light bluish grey trophy cup. There are also capes but I’m not sure if they have been offered before or not.
Overall, there are some pretty cool pieces that are now available at the Build-A-Minifigure bar. These pieces may have shown up previously as I don’t frequent the bar that much when I go to the store but I have been informed that the Ghost and trophy pieces are new. Your mileage may vary but I’ve seen others that have a similar selection of items so good luck looking for them!
Update: I’ve been told that the capes are old but other stuff that are new are the pink jewels and the white ice cream scoops.

Wasn’t the exorbitant price of the collectible minifigures supposed to be justified by exclusivity? I can see pieces from several different collectible minifigures there. I really feel cheated by this and now my collection is worth considerably less.
I agree! Im upset that i see pieces from the collectable mini figure line. It looks like they even have a slope piece that was used to make “calamity drone” from the lego movie mini figure series. Makes it less valuable than a collection. Now i hate more that the mini figure line price has gone up a dollar.
Do Lego stores allow customers to fill their PAB cup with minifigure parts, assuming that we don’t get the pieces for a full minifigure? For example, if I wanted 20 Trophy cups, or 5 of the Ghost head/torso pieces.
People have been wanting to do that but no. The stores don’t allow that.
Have you ever spotted any of the parts for a Roman soldier in one of the bins?
Not that I recall. I have a friend who works there and they show me the new stuff but I don’t remember seeing any.
