LEGO Seasonal Christmas Ornament (5004934)

LEGO Seasonal Christmas Ornament (5004934)

It’s never too early for Christmas news and it looks like we have a first look at a new LEGO Seasonal Christmas Ornament (5004934). As you can see from the images, it’s a new concept consisting of 66 pieces which includes small builds like a tricycle, race car, a gift, and a couple of minifigures. You also notice that part of the build comes out from the top of the box. That’s because the box itself is the ornament and it doesn’t look like there’s an actual tree build which is disappointing.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Promotional Products

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Kai's Dojo Pod (5004916)

Brickset has uploaded official images of some of the promotional products for upcoming The LEGO Ninjago Movie. There’s no information on how or when these products will be available at this time. We’ll just have to wait and see if they show up on the LEGO Store Calendars or at Toys R Us weekly ads.

First is the Kai’s Dojo Pod (5004916) which basically is similar to The LEGO Batman Movie Batman Battle Pod (5004929). The difference here is is that it is red with an image of Kai’s mask on the front of the pod and it includes a Kai minifigure in a white dojo outfit. You also get a shelf filled with training accessories as well.

Next up is a Master Wu Keychain (5004915) polybag. He is not exclusive as this minifigure appears in a few of the The LEGO Ninjago Movie sets.

Finally, we have The LEGO Ninjago Movie Movie Maker Polybag (5004394). If you saw my post from earlier today, there’s also a full on Movie Maker Set (853702) and this is a smaller version of it. It appears that this polybag will include a different minifigure than the larger set as this one features Jay in a white training outfit.

LEGO Artist Dan Veesenmeyer at San Diego Comic Con 2017

If you’re heading to San Diego Comic Con in a few weeks, a familiar face in the LEGO community will be returning to Artist Alley. Dan Veesenmeyer will again be attending and he will have some limited edition 8″x11″ prints available for purchase for $10 each. These prints feature Wonder Woman, Princess Leia, and Spider-Man in their LEGO minifigure forms and are limited to just 40 prints each.

If you’ve already order some commissions from Dan or want to get some of the ones listed above, you can pick them up at Artist Alley Table #EE-21. Dan will also have daily, on-site sketches but those usually fill up very quickly so get there early after the exhibit doors open.

If you’re not familiar with Dan’s work, he has created art for the LEGO Club Magazines, LEGO Marvel Avengers, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, and a new book called LEGO Ninjago: How to Draw Ninja, Villains, and More!, just to name a few. Be sure to follow Dan on Twitter and Instagram to get a behind-the-scenes look at his work.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Collectible Minifigures (71019) Feel Guide

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Collectible Minifigures (71019)

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Collectible Minifigures (71019) will be released in a few weeks but I’ve already gotten a few requests to do my usual feel guide for them. I’ve also made a checklist with some of the feel tips which you can download as a PDF.

As with any feel guides that I put out, experienced collectors may not need it but there are also newcomers and younger collectors who can make use of it.

1. Flashback Garmadon: Since he is one of three Garmadons in this wave, he will have two torsos. To distinguish him from the other ones, feel for the 2×2 tile, hair piece, and camera.

2. Lloyd: He is the other minifigure to have a 2×3 tile. Confirm with the sword and extra hair piece.

3. Kai Kendo: For Kai,I would suggest feeling more for the two sticks, the kendo helmet, and the spiky hair piece.

4. Lloyd Garmadon: This version of Lloyd should be easy to pick out. Feel for the hoodie/hair mold, the bowl, and spoon.

5.Sushi Chef: Some of the notable parts for him are the butcher knife, two 1×1 round sushi tiles, 1×1 round brick, and the bald head piece.

6. Cole: The easiest thing for Cole is his boombox.

7. Zane: His backpack should be one of the things to feel for. Confirm with his flat hair piece.

8. Master Wu: He should be one of the easier … Continue

The LEGO Ninjago Movie: Garmageddon Attacks! Activity Book

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Garmageddon Attacks!

There will be a new The LEGO Ninjago Movie Activity Book called Garmadon Attack! coming out soon and included is an exclusive Cole minifigure. This version of him he has on a white training outfit does not not appear in any other set. These activity books are mainly for younger kids but for collectors, the majority of the value is in the minifigure itself.

You can currently pre-order The LEGO Ninjago Movie: Garmadon Attack! on Amazon for $8.99 with the release date on August 1.

An activity book with minifigure based on The LEGO(R) NINJAGO(R) Movie(TM) featuring a buildable Cole minifigure! Includes a mix of comics, puzzles, and activities that fans will love.

LEGO Iconic Caveman & Cavewoman (5004936)

Iconic Caveman & Cavewoman (5004936)

Yesterday, I reported on the August 2017 LEGO Store Calendar and the main promotion of the month is the Iconic Caveman & Cavewoman (5004936) minifigures. It will be available August 10-31 with a purchase of $50 or more, while supplies last.

If you’ve collecting the Collectible Minifigures since the beginning, you’ll notice that the new minifigures look similar to the ones released previously. The Caveman was from Series 1 (8683) while the Cavewoman was from Series 5 (8805). The only difference with the new ones are the colors for the printing on the torsos, legs, and the hair pieces so this technically makes them exclusive to this set.

The packaging for the double minifigures has some designs for the rock home and the wooden door which opens to reveal the minifigures. The Caveman & Cavewoman is the third “Iconic” set that LEGO will be releasing with the first one being the Chicken Suit Guy in the Iconic Easter (5004468) and the other with the Gingerbread Man (5005156) from last year.
