A few weeks ago, we saw the official box art images for the both the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Mighty Micros as well as for Marvel. We now have some official product images of the set courtesy of Just2Good who sent them in earlier today. In these new images, we can clearly see the whole vehicle for the respective characters. This also gives us a clearer look for the logos which, unfortantely, look like they’re stickers. I know that these may not appeal to everyone as I’ve seen the comments for them but they are pretty cute and to get two licensed characters in a $9.99 set is not a bad deal.

The Modular Train Station by Legowolf is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The set is based on 19th century train stations in Europe and has many features including:
- The platform at the back lets you lay track in the same direction as your street, so that your diorama can fit in a compact space. The platform height is sized for standard Lego trains.
- There is equal detail on front and back, which is unusual for modular buildings.
- The roof and upper back wall detach, exposing the vaulted interior for play.
- The focal point inside is the ornate clock and timetable, which features replaceable letters so that you can set your own destinations.
- The interior features a ticketing office, ticket vending machine, newspaper box, snack bar, public toilets, and turnstiles leading to the platform.
- The exterior features statuary, decorative moulding and brickwork, and arched glass windows. There is a bicycle rack for couriers in the front, along with public noticeboards.
- A snack bar opens onto the interior and the station platform, because captive customers are profitable customers!
The project now joins the Fossil Museum and the Gingerbread House as the ones that qualify for the First 2016 Review Stage which is already shaping up to be a pretty good one so far.
A few weeks ago, we got our first at the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Batman Gotham City Cycle Chase (76053) and and now there are some new high quality images of the set. First are some close up images of the minifigures courtesy of Just2Good. Here we have close up images of both the new Harley Quinn and Deadshot minifigures that will be included in the set which are based on the New 52 series. The other images are from Roger who emailed in the back of the box as well as the product image of the set. The price point of the set is rumored to be at $19.99.
I almost totally forgot about this but last Christmas, I did a contest to giveaway the last set of the Series 14 LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71010). The contest has been over for a few days and the winner of them is:
Chris B. – Branson, MO
Again, these minifigures were provided by the LEGO AFOL Relations & Programs Team and hopefully for this year I’ll have different styled contests, like building ones, to give away to the readers which allows you to show off your work to the community.
It’s been pretty slow LEGO news-wise but there are now new details on the summer 2016 wave of LEGO BIONICLE sets. From what I see, there will be at least 5 sets in the wave which you can see the list below. They’ll be available in August so we should probably see them at the upcoming toys fairs in a few weeks.
Ekimu the Mask Maker (71312)
Lava Beast (71313)
Storm Beast (71314)
Quake Beast (71315)
Umarak the Destroyer (71316)
If you’ve been waiting for the Series 15 LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71011) to be released on February 1st, you may want to check out Target stores. I’ve gotten a few messages from readers who have found them in stores and are able to purchase them without being blocked at the registers while paying for them. YMMV on that but it’s worth checking out. Of course if you’re in other parts of the world, they’ve already been released in the beginning of the year.
