Amazon currently has The LEGO Batman Movie: Chaos in Gotham City Activity Book on sale for $6.59 which is 27% off the regular price of $9.99. The book also includes the exclusive Tartan Batman minifigure variant which fans will want to collect as well. The book may not appeal to adults as they are geared towards kids as with other activity books but the minifigure alone is worth the price especially when it is on sale. The LEGO Batman Movie: Chaos in Gotham City will be released on January 31.
Following up on my review of The LEGO Batman Movie The Joker Battle Training (30523) polybag, I have another one that was sent in by LEGO for review which is the Batman in the Phantom Zone (30522). This 59 piece polybag is now available at Target stores in the Valentine’s section for $3.99.
Batman is the same version as in the clayface Splat Attack (70904) and the Scarecrow Special Delivery (70910). He has the usual black suit with a smirk and angry grimace. His accessory is a Batarang.
The only part of the build is the what appears to be the Phantom Zone. If you’re not familiar with the Phantom Zone, it’s a realm in the DC Superman Universe where it is used for a means of imprisonment. The LEGO Batman Movie: The Essential Guide has some little spoilers of why the Phantom Zone is in the movie which I won’t post here.
The design of it is very complex looking especially for a polybag and uses two Travis bricks as part of the base of the build. There are a lot of dark red parts that are used such as some 1×3 plates, 1×1 clips, as well as some headlight bricks which are pretty rare so far. There’s also some trans-blue dishes on the outer edges.

It looks like LEGO and McDonald’s will be teaming up again this year for some toys for The LEGO Batman Movie. I’ve been sent the above image showing a part of a Happy Meal box which shows there will be some sort of promotion for the movie next month but doesn’t say what it will be.
If you remember from 2014, LEGO did a McDonald’s promotion for The LEGO Movie with some Action Cups. Hopefully we get something similar or better for The LEGO Batman Movie. I’m sure fans would want some actual LEGO but that hasn’t happened for a long time.

The new Toys R Us ad is now out and if you make a purchase of $30 or more on LEGO sets, you can get the LEGO DC Super Hero Girls Krypto Saves the Day (30546) polybag for free. The promotion lasts until the end of the week but if there are any left over, you can purchase it outright. This polybag is also found at various Target locations for $3.99. Krypto also appears in the Lashina Tank (41233) but this is the cheapest way to get the figure.
It looks like there is an exclusive Walmart 2-in-1 Super Pack for The LEGO Batman Movie that has shown up online. The Super Pack includes The Joker Balloon Escape (70900) and The Riddler Riddle Racer (70903) but it also includes a poster that we haven’t seen before.
The only sketchy thing about the set is that it is listed at $89.98 which is way above the price if you combined the two sets which comes out to $44.98 and I’m pretty sure that the poster doesn’t cost $45 unless it is gold plated. You can use Brickseek to check if there’s any of the Super Packs around you but it looks like it’s only online at this time.
Online Dutch shop SinQel has posted the LEGO set names for the summer 2017 wave from many themes. I’ve had this information since last night from a reader but it looks like everything is out now. Keep in mind that this is not a complete list and I’ll add to the list when there is more info. We can look forward to hearing more details as well as seeing images of them at the upcoming Toy Fairs.

Last week, we saw the product images of the Winter 2017 LEGO Speed Champions sets and today we now have the box art images courtesy of an anonymous reader. Again, we have images of five of the sets with the Mercedes Pit Stop (75880) being a store exclusive so no images of that set yet. This wave should be in stores late February/early March.
