LEGO Speed Champions McLaren 720S (75880) Revealed

LEGO Speed Champions McLaren 720S (75880)

LEGO has revealed the new LEGO Speed Champions McLaren 720S (75880) over on their Facebook Page. There isn’t much information on it but it does say that it will be available in June. I’m assuming that it will be the same size and the $14.99 price point as the individual Speed Champions vehicles.

Update: DriveTribe has more images of the McLaren 720S. The set will also include a McLaren designer instead of a driver and his design office desk.

The LEGO Movie Sequel to be a Space Action Musical?

News on The LEGO Movie Sequel has been somewhat quiet since it’s been pushed back to 2019 a new interview might be shed some new details for the movie. The LEGO Batman Movie director Chris McKay appeared on the Shanlian on Batman podcast and he revealed that The LEGO Movie Sequel could be a lot different from the first.

LEGO 2 is going to be this big musical and space action movie. They need a lot of the writing, a lot of development, not only with script development, but development with songwriters. So it was very ambitious to get that movie out.

If the sequel is indeed going to be a space action musical movie, there will no doubt feature a lot of Benny the Spaceman, voiced by Charlie Day in the first movie. Of course, this could very well change again between now and 2019 so don’t get your hopes up too high since there has already been a lot of changes already so far.

LEGO has a pretty cool Easter building campaign that has kicked off today and there are some prizes for winners. All you have to do is build something Easter related and share your images online using the hastag #LEGOEaster. To enter the raffle, you must share your image to the Flickr Pool and follow the rules there. For your RLUG/RLFM affiliation, make sure you state that you’ve come from The Brick Fan and post a comment below with the Flickr link to your photo or you won’t qualify. If you’re a winner of one of the raffles, LEGO will contact you directly via Flickr Mail. Read the full rules below.

Our colleagues creating global campaigns have asked us to ask you to particpate in this years #LEGOEaster campaign and share your amazing pictures online using the #LEGOEaster hashtag!

As a special treat the Community Managers have decided to add a little raffle chance to win for those of you participating. So we’ve created a flickr account where we would like everything to be pooled and also hashtagged. (The Flickr pool is right here – https://www.flickr.com/groups/3447329@N23/)

Once we pass Easter, we will do a Lucky Draw between all the pooled images.
