LEGO Ideas Fossil Museum Achieves 10,000 Supporters

LEGO news comes in waves and in this latest one, the Fossil Museum by whatpumpkin is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. This is also the first project to qualify for the First 2016 Review Stage.

The project is pretty much what it says, it’s a little museum scene showing off some skeletons of various dinosaurs including Stegosaurus, Pteranodon, Apatosaurus, Deinonychus, and Spinosaurus. Museums with dinosaur attractions are very popular and this project looks to be a very fun and education set if it becomes an official one.

LEGO Creator Brick Bank (10251) Designer Video

I’m not sure why it took so long but LEGO has finally released the designer video for the LEGO Creator Brick Bank (10251). This set is the eleventh set in the popular modular line and the fourth corner building. The video shows you lots of the small details and play features that you may not have noticed before.

Well it’s another busy day regarding information for the summer 2016 LEGO sets. There’s even more set names from various themes including City, Creator, Disney Princess, Friends, Nexo Knights, and Ninjago. These names come from Just2Good, Eurobricks, as well as NeoGAF. Some of the more interesting stuff include the volcano theme for the City line while Friends will focus an amusement park theme. LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Classic TV Series Batcave (76052) Rumored for February VIP Release

On the February 2016 LEGO Store Calendar, you probably saw that from February 15-29, VIPs get early access to a new exclusive set. Aegis2000 over on Eurobricks is reporting that it’ll be the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Classic TV Series Batcave (76052) with Tragic Banjo and Sir Gareth backing up the information. So far, it’s been said that the set will include Batman, Alfred, Catwoman, and Robin, just to name a few and the set will have more than just the Batcave. I’m assuming they mean the Classic Batmobile will also be in the set.

Also another piece of information that was given. A few weeks ago, there was a leaked image of Otto Preminger’s Mr. Freeze minifigure. Sir Gareth is reporting that that particular minifigure is actually a promotional polybag.

Of course all this is speculation but Tragic Banjo and Sir Gareth are pretty good sources considering that they’ve been correct on a lot of past info. LEGO should be releasing the official press release with images for the Classic TV Series Batcave (76052) in the next few weeks or so and hopefully the designer video for it so stay tuned.

LEGO Ideas National Park Service Centennial Vignettes Achieves 10,000 Supporters

Earlier today, the National Park Service Centennial Vignettes by LEGORanger16 has also achieved 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The project features small scenes on 10×16 plates which shows various US National Parks like the Everglades in Florida, Katmai in Alaska, and Saguaro in Arizona. This project seems to be a very educational set as it gets kids learning about some of the National Parks here in the US.

The National Park Service Centennial Vignettes is now in the Third 2015 Review Stage and joins other projects including Jurassic Park Explorer, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Nautilus, the Toyota Landcruiser 40 Series, the Beatles Yellow Submarine, the HMS Beagle, Apollo 11 Saturn-V, and the Concorde Display Set as the ones vying to become an official LEGO set.
