LEGO Seasonal Holiday Scene Magnet (853353) Review

It’s never too early for Christmas but here’s a short review of a little Seasonal set I found at the LEGO Store this week, the Holiday Scene Magnet (853353). It’s interesting because this set has been sold since 2011 and it’s still available for purchase on Shop@Home. The set contains 48 pieces and retails for $9.99. The contents of the Christmas Scene Magnet include a small bag with the parts, a small instruction sheet, and a sticker sheet with the words Merry Christmas in different languages.

LEGO Events at New York Comic Con 2015

LEGO will again be at New York Comic Con and they hint of a big announcement sometime this weekend. They’ll be at booth #1436 and there will most like be large model builds that attendees can take pictures of. There’s no word yet on whether there will be any exclusives or not at the event.

Outside of the booth, there are some LEGO panels that you might be interested in even if you’re not attending. First is the LEGO Marvel’s Avengers: Meet the Talent Behind the Videogame. It’ll feature some of the staff from TT Games talking about the upcoming game. We can also expect to see a new gameplay trailer and more character reveals.

Fri. October 9| 12:45 PM – 1:45 PM | Main Stage 1-D Presented by AT&T

The Art of the Brick: DC Comics Batmobile Revealed

If you followed my coverage of San Diego Comic Con, you would know that there was a panel called DC Comics Meets LEGO Art which featured Nathan Sawaya as a guest. There he talked about his upcoming exhibition called The Art of the Brick: DC Comics and today Comic Book Resources has revealed the LEGO Batmobile that he has created for the exhibit. As you can see, it is a full-size Batmobile which was designed by Jim Lee at SDCC and was created with over 500,000 bricks in less than three months and is 18 foot long.

The tour for The Art of the Brick: DC Comics will open at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, Australia on November 22.
