LEGO Dimensions E3 Portal Trailer Featuring the Toy Pad

LEGO Dimensions Modes

Following the gameplay footage of LEGO Dimensions yesterday at E3, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released another video today showing off the details of the Toy Pad and how it works in conjunction with the game. The Toy Pad allows a combination of seven different characters, objects, and vehicles to be simultaneously be brought into the game at a single time. It features three distinct areas of RGB light technology that gives a range of colors to provide the players hints and puzzles to solve.

There are five modes available on the Toy Pad: SHIFT, SCALE, CHROMA, ELEMENTAL, and LOCATE. SHIFT mode is activated when characters need to use colored vortexes to move around the area or to avoid danger. The player must physically move the LEGO minifigure to the right colored light section on the Toy Pad which allows them to transport the character to the vortex of their choosing.

By using SCALE, players can physically place the LEGO minifigure on a distinct colored section of the Toy Pad and they can either grow their character to a larger size or shrink them down to micro-size to be able to compleze puzzles or access new areas.

With CHROMA, you change each character into a specific color and you use them at certain points with their respective colors to progress in the puzzle.

For ELEMENTAL, the characters can gain different elemental abilities to use including lightning, fire, water, and wind. You can use those abilities to fight enemies or to use on puzzles.

Watch The Secret World of LEGO on YouTube

Yesterday in the UK showed the anticipated documentary: The Secret World of LEGO. I haven’t had a chance to watch it yet but many LEGO fans enjoyed it from what I’ve been reading on different sites. The documentary takes a look inside LEGO’s headquarters as well as featuring some of the employees. The show also follows Mark Guest and his launch of Bricks and Bricks Culture and Tom Poulsom and his LEGO Ideas Birds (21301)icon set. If you haven’t watched The Secret World of LEGO yet, there’s a video up on YouTube of the full show but I suspect it might be going down in a few days so watch it while you can. For people in the UK, you can watch it on demand over on Channel 4’s website.

LEGO Dimensions Gameplay Shown Off at E3

LEGO Dimensions

The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is in full-swing and there are tons of upcoming video games being showed off. One of the games that was shown off today was LEGO Dimensions which will be coming out on September 27. At the event, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment Doug Heder and TT Games’ Mark Warburton gave us our first look at the Portal 2 Level Pack (71203) which includes the Chell LEGO minifigure.

In the video, you get to see how the game works in conjunction with the minifigures and the different builds in the expansion packs. The sections of the ToyPad itself can be used to place various items on it and it’ll appear in the game in real-time. This allows you you trigger different abilities to use in game to further you gaming experience. It was also stated that there are no restrictions on which LEGO characters, objects, or vehicles you can bring in game.

Check out the video below for LEGO Dimensions at E3 as well as some screenshots of the game.

LEGO Jurassic World Video Game – Jurassic Park Playthrough

The LEGO Jurassic World video game is now available on all major systems and I had some time to play the original Jurassic Park movie part of the game in full. If you follow my social media networks, I did announce that I would be streaming the game so if you came by, thanks for watching. If you haven’t seen it, I also created a playlist of the playthrough for the first movie which you can watch below. Forgive me for the sidebar on the video. This was my first time streaming directly from the PS4 so I wasn’t familiar with the layout.

I’m currently now playing the second movie part of the game, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and should be finishing up most likely tomorrow so stay tuned for that.

LEGO Star Wars Sith Infiltrator (75096) Set Animation

LEGO Star Wars Sith Infiltrator (75096)

LEGO has posted a set animation video of the upcoming LEGO Star Wars Sith Infiltrator (75096). It gives a closer look at the ship driven by Darth Maul and its features which includes a bay for holding the Bloodfin speeder and three DRK-1 Dark Eye Probe Droids. The minifigures that will be included in the set are Darth Maul, Qui-Gonn Jinn wearing a poncho for his Mos Espa variant, Anakin Skywalker, R2-D2, and Watto. With this video, we can now see some differences with this set compared to the 2011 7961 set. The main one is the way the speeder is stored. There is now ample space to put it in unlike the last version where you have to finagle it in a small area.

There’s still no word on piece count or US pricing at this time but I’m sure it’ll be showing up on Shop@Home soon.
