LEGO Inside Tour 2015 Swag

For those who are lucky enough to attend the 2015 LEGO Inside Tour in Billund, Denmark, attendees were given some swag during the very exclusive event. Shown above are some of the stuff that were given away to an attendee on the first day of the tour which includes some business card LEGO minifigures, keychain, pen, badge, DUPLO brick, a LEGO Simpsons Series 2 blind bag, a LEGO Jurassic World container with a piece of amber, and a trans-blue LEGO BIONICLE Gali Mask numbered to 200. Obviously the most notable items are the last two with the amber container not in an official set and a very exclusive Gali Mask similar to the Tahu Mask given out at NYCC last year.

There’s also the LEGO Inside Tour 2015 Set (4000020) that’s given out to everyone who attends but there’s no images of the set yet. I’m sure we’ll see something in a day or two since the first tour ends today.

There are still three tours left for this year, one later this month and two in June, and I assume the attendees will be getting similar items as well.

Philly Brick Fest 2015 TubeLUG Showcase

Philly Brick Fest 2015 TubeLUG

One of the LUGs that attended this past Philly Brick Fest was not your ordinary LUG that gets together regularly physically but virtually. This group of people is called TubeLUG and it is made up of members of the YouTube community. I believe every Saturday, many members get together on a livestream on YouTube showing off their creations and what they have going on during the week.

The biggest TubeLUG build at Philly Brick Fest was easily the one by Bricks4Chris as you can see from some of the images below although it doesn’t really do it justice of how big it actually is if you saw it in person.

Below is a list of some of the TubeLUG members that attended PBF, in no particular order. If I missed anyone, let me know in the comments section.

Philly Brick Fest 2015 Glow Zone

Philly Brick Fest 2015 Glow Zone

The LEGO news is fairly slow the past couple of days so I’ve had some time to go over the pictures I took while at Philly Brick Fest. The first thing I’ll be featuring is the Glow Zone which was newly implemented since I last attended PBF from last year. The Glow Zone is pretty much a collection of builds that use translucent pieces contained in a curtained off area that is lit up by a blacklight to give the builds a cool effect. The main centerpiece of the Glow Zone is the Cthulhu-looking creature by Carter Baldwin.

Philly Brick Fest 2015 LEGO Phillie Phanatic

Philly Brick Fest 2015 LEGO Phillie Phanatic

I’ve finally had time to go through the swag bag for registered attendees from Philly Brick Fest a few weeks ago and one of the items included was a LEGO mini build of the Philadelphia Phillies’ famous mascot, the Phillie Phanatic. The Phanatic is recognized as one of the best sports mascots and was the the first mascot to be inducted into the Mascot Hall of Fame.

I believe the LEGO Phanatic build was created by Carter Baldwin (correct me if I’m wrong) and it uses the new LEGO Mixels joints to give it plenty of articulation on the head, arms, and legs. It even has the extendable tongue by the way of a red wand piece. The sticker of the Phillies jersey completes the look of the character.

Overall the mini LEGO Phillie Phanatic is a very neat little build that was included in the swag bag. I really like the look of it compared to the real-life counterpart. I’ll be showing off more swag that I got from my trip in the next few days when I have some free time. I also have tons of pictures to upload of the MOCs that were on dispay so I’ll probably be breaking them up in a couple of posts.
