The Squad DLC Pack Announced for LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham - The Squad Pack DLC

Kotaku has revealed the last Season Pass DLC pack for LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. Yesterday, Warner Bros. announced the cast for the upcoming DC Suicide Squad movie and TT Games has announced their DLC, The Squad Pack. This DLC will feature members of the Suicide Squad, although they renamed it since this is a child friendly game, including Deathstroke, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, El Diablo, and Amanda Waller.

If you’ve already purchased the Season Pass, it will be available to download in the near future. If you haven’t, you can purchase it separately for $2.99. Below is the official description of The Squad DLC pack:

In The Squad add-on content pack, a mysterious figure has infiltrated Belle Reve Penitentiary, and it’s up to players to smash their way through the prison as Deadshot, Deathstroke, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang and other members of The Squad to hunt down this infiltrator before Amanda Waller’s—and The Squad’s—secrets are uncovered.

Expand your LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham experience with the DLC Season Pass, currently available for $14.99. The DLC Season Pass allows players to access The Squad and other add-on content packs, including Man of Steel, Dark Knight, Batman 75th, Arrow and Bizarro World as they become available. You can also purchase each Season Pass pack separately for $2.99 each.

LEGO Seasonal Decorating the Tree (40058)

If you missed out on the LEGO Seasonal Decorating the Tree (40058) polybag last year at LEGO Stores or on Shop@Home, you’ll be glad to know that US Toys R Us is now currently carrying them in stores. I can confirm that they are $9.99 each and are tucked away behind the register counters or the guest service desk. If you need info for it, the SKU is 52B88C4D and the UPC is 673419183826. They are also listed on TRU’s website but aren’t available to purchase yet at this time. The polybag itself contains 110 pieces and also includes 2 minifigures. This polybag will make a great stocking stuffer for Christmas which is exactly three weeks away as of this post.

Update: There are a couple of reports that TRU won’t be selling them until December 14. You may want to call your store to clarify before going there.

LEGO Store December 2014 Monthly Mini Build Event Gingerbread House (40105) Review

LEGO December 2014 Monthly Mini Build

Today was the last Monthly Mini Build event for 2014 and it was a highly anticipated one. For the holidays, LEGO has gone with the Gingerbread House (40105) for the December build. We finally get some needed rain here in San Diego but that didn’t deter families from waiting in line to get their set. I was surprised that many families also wanted to build the Gingerbread House in the store and didn’t mind that it was raining. Now that’s dedication!

Kids also had the opportunity to build some ornaments back at the Pick-A-Brick wall. This was Genevieve’s idea which was inspired by LEGO builder Chris McVeigh and his holiday building guides. Although I wasn’t able to take any pictures of the builds, I did see there were some pretty cool Christmas tree built.

LEGO December 2014 Monthly Mini Build

For the Gingerbread House (40105) itself, it contains 54 pieces which is the second largest Mini Build of the year next to the March Spring Tree (40096). The house has your typical Gingerbread House look with the white frosting roof and the 1×1 studs representing candy. The front of the house also has a brick-built candy cane. The only thing I thought that was off was the 2×4 yellow brick that was used instead of a brown one.

Overall, the Gingerbread House is a well made set that goes great with your Winter themed sets. The January 2015 Monthly Mini Build will be an Alien with a space dog which you can see on the January 2015 LEGO Store Calendar.… Continue
