LEGO January 2015 Promotional Polybags Now Available on Shop@Home

LEGO Star Wars AT-DP Polybag (30274)

If you still have some older sets to purchase from LEGO Shop@Home, you may want to know that the new 2015 promotional polybags are now available as of yesterday and they do stack.

You can get a FREE LEGO Star Wars At-DP (30274) with any LEGO Star Wars purchase during the month of January. For the FREE LEGO Creator Flower Cart (40140), you need a purchase of $75 or more in your shopping cart. Finally, for the LEGO Friends Mini Golf (30203) polybag, you just need to get any LEGO Friends item.

I tested it with a larger set that I know will cover the criteria to get both the AT-DP and Flower Cart polybags and threw in a random Friends set and sure enough, they all show up in the shopping cart.

If you don’t have anything left to purchase this year, I would hold off one more day when all the new 2015 sets will be available tomorrow. Thanks to Chris for the heads up yesterday.

LEGO Jurassic World Official Set Names Revealed

JurassicWorld.org has revealed the official set names list of the upcoming LEGO Jurassic World sets. The image above comes from a Toys R Us UK inventory system. I’ve worked with the TRU inventory system and can confirm that the image is legit as well. Before we get to the list, be warned of potential SPOILERS that might come out of the set list.

Pteranodon Capture (75915)
Dilophosaurus Ambush (75916)
Raptor Rampage (75917)
T-Rex Tracker (75918)
Ultra Dino (75919)
Raptor Escape (75920)

From what we can see from the list, we get a wide variety of dinosaurs that will be included in the LEGO Jurassic World sets including Pteranodon, Dilophosaurus, Velociraptor, and T-Rex. The Ultra Dino set might include the Diabolus Rex (D-Rex) figure that we’ve seen leaked a few months ago. Now that you’ve seen the list, what do you think of the sets so far?

New LEGO Minifigure Box Set (5004077) Found

LEGO Minifigure Set #2 (5004077)

Over on TaoBao, where many new 2015 minifigures have shown up recently, is a new LEGO Minifigure Set (5004077) which is similar to the one that was available at Target a few weeks ago. The second box again includes different minifigures from four different themes including LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes, LEGO Ninjago, LEGO Legends of Chima, and LEGO City.

From the images provided, we get a new character in the DC Comics line with Lightning Lad. He is the founding member of the Legion of Super-Heroes which was inspired by Superboy who was in the last box.

For the Ninjago minifigure, we get Kai in a new outfit. This version of him is different from the ones that we will be getting in the 2015 sets.

On the Legends of Chima side, we get another version of Sir Fangar from the Sabre-Tooth Tiger Tribe.

Finally for the City minifigure, we get someone in a scuba outfit which looks like it’s someone from the Exploration subtheme that will be coming out next summer.

Overall, there’s no details yet on how to obtain this second LEGO Minifigure Set (5004077) but my guess is that it’ll probably show up at Target like last time. Although Lightning Lad isn’t a pretty major character in the DC Universe, he is someone new in the LEGO Universe which collectors will covet. We’ll let you know if/when the set becomes available.

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Trickster Minifigure Found

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Trickser Minifigure

NuffSaid1996 over on Eurobricks has found a new LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Trickster minifigure that isn’t featured in a set or in a 2015 promotion. From the way that it’s packaged, it seems that the minifigure will be included in an upcoming LEGO book or movie.

The Trickster is one of the members of the Rogues and is the enemy of the Flash using dangerous gadgets themed after practical joke items. From the looks of it, the Trickster minifigure is based on the Axel Walker version and he also appeared in LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham as a playable character. He isn’t a major villain but is a good addition to the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes line.

Thanks to Luke for the heads up.

Piano Achieves 10,000 Supporters on LEGO Ideas

The Piano project by Hidaka is the latest project to hit 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The Piano is one of the many Musical Instruments projects that he hopes to add to LEGO’s themes to teach children more about music. Hidaka wants to include a minifigure with the project as well to represent the composer. What’s neat about the project is that it is able to be rebuilt into a mini version using the same pieces.

Although the build is fairly small, it does represent the subject type very well. If it passes the LEGO Review Stage, the Piano will probably be one of the smallest official CUUSOO/Ideas sets that LEGO has produced.

The Piano now joins a jam-packed lineup in the Third 2014 Review Stage which also includes the Avengers Helicarrier, the Labyrinth Marble Maze, the F7A, The Goonies 30th Anniversary Inferno, The Natural History Museum, Lord of the Rings Set: Minas Tirith, and Jurassic Park.
