The LEGO Movie Brick Bust

A few members of The LEGO Movie cast, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, and Will Arnett, will be doing an upcoming episode of Unscripted for Moviefone. From now until Thursday, January 23rd, you can ask the stars questions and if you’re lucky, your question may be answered. Just submit your questions in the comments section of this post, on Moviefone’s Facebook Page, or on Twitter using the hashtag #LegoUnscripted. Check back to Moviefone a few days before The LEGO Movie is released to see if your question was answered.

London Toy Fair 2014 LEGO Set Report

The London Toy Fair 2014 is currently going on right now and the teams over at Brick Fanatics as well as All About Bricks has been covering what’s been going on. They have done initial reports of the LEGO sets displayed at the convention. Unfortunately, photography is not allowed. but Exhibit 3 Sixty has managed to get one of the LEGO City display. In addition to all the reported information, I’ve also added information that we already had from previous posts.

Beyond the Brick Episode 100 Featuring Keith Severson

The Beyond the Brick team has just filmed their 100th episode and their guest for the show is the head of the LEGO Community Engagement and Events Team, Keith Severson. The interview covered many topics including what he does as the head of the CEE Team and also touched on many questions about the LEGO Community. Just completed The LEGO Movie Logo

To get you more into the mood for The LEGO Movie CK Tsang, aka chiukeung, has recreated the logo from the movie. This build is a fantastic recreation of the official one although it uses different pieces than the original one. This conveys the message that the movie as well as chiukeung bring which is to use your imagination to create something awesome.

The Android’s Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop by Pepa Quin

Worst. Creation. Ever.

In celebration of The Simpsons House (71006) now being available, Matt De Lanoy, aka Pepa Quin, has created The Android’s Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop as his Iron Builder model using the white modified brick 2 x 3 x 2/3 with two studs. Owned by Jeff Alberson, aka Comic Book Guy, this build is a great representation of comic book shop from the cartoon. Matt has implemented some things from The Simpsons House including the Radioactive Man comic book and Bart and his skateboard. This is the total opposite of the Worst. Creation. Ever.

Navy Trooper Fenson on Eurobricks has found a couple of images of some of the new LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sets on German retailer bucher.de. These are the first of what will be many images of the 2014 TMNT Summer sets that will soon be surfacing in the very near future.

The LEGO Movie Store Building Event

From now until February 16th, LEGO Stores will be holding a building event for kids to create something and show off their creations on the display. I took a trip down to my local store in Fashion Valley and it was already packed with kids and parents having fun building stuff. My awesome friend, Genevieve, was manning the booth at the time I came in and there were some really creative things that the kids had built like castle towers, swimming pools, and even a stingray-style boat. Kids also improvised on some builds such as using bricks as wheels which shows that kids have a very vast imagination at a very young age. For showing off their creations, the kids were given an LEGO Movie Accessory Pack as well as the new Lord Business poster. If you have some time, head over to your store to see what the kids there have created. Check out some of the stuff the kids built below.
