Hoth Bricks has found that the LEGO Star Wars blog has been teasing the new Yoda Chronicles series that is expected to be released next year. The post from “Yoda” in the blog states that there will be a new story that will air every Saturday. No word yet though on what format the Yoda Chronicles will be on.
LEGO has revealed the front images of the Series 9 Collectible Minifigures on their Facebook page. The minifigure bios are also on their minisite. Whitefang over on Eurobricks has already done an extensive reviews on the Series 9 minifigures. He states that now there might be only two complete sets in an unopened box. Does this mean that some minifigures are more rarer than other? That could happen but that’s the luck of the draw. Which Series 9 minifigure are you looking forward to getting?
Alien Avenger
“Smash, mash, and destroy!”
The Alien Avenger is part of a team of rough, tough space warriors assembled from all across the galaxy. With armor and weapons scavenged from the battlefields of a hundred war-torn worlds, he may lack military discipline, but he makes up for it with brute strength and eagerness to charge into battle no matter the odds.
As one of 5,000 identical siblings, the Alien Avenger is used to not standing out in a crowd. But it doesn’t bother him that some may see him as just another nameless, faceless trooper – give him a planetoid beneath his feet and a disintegrator blaster in his hand, and he’ll take on anything and everything that comes his way!”
Battle Mech
“To the rescue – go!”
Whenever danger threatens the planet, the mighty Battle Mech goes into action! Launching from its secret base, it blasts through the sky on powerful retro-rockets, using an arsenal of built-in weaponry and gadgets to battle enormous space monsters, out-of-control asteroids, and

On May 6, 2012, the Firefly Serenity project by Thomas Lockwood, aka tbone_tbl, on LEGO CUUSOO achieved 10000 supporters to be reviewed by the LEGO Jury to see if it was a good fit for the LEGO brand. Unfortunately, the project was deemed inappropriate for the core audience of children ages 6-11 and was quickly rejected.
Although the rejection was disappointing, it didn’t bring Thomas down. In the following months, he worked hard to redesign the Serenity in preparation to sell the instructions as well as to put together a kit. The time has finally come to reveal the final product. In conjunction with a 3rd party called Etadyne Industries LLC, the Firefly Serenity playset, instructions, as well as the minifigures are all available for sale. Check out the features and images below for more details. Now’s your chance to pick one up if you wanted it before!
The final truck in this LEGO City wave is the Cement Mixer (60018). The set has 221 pieces and retails for $19.99, which is the same price as the other two trucks in the wave. This set has a great $0.09/piece ratio. Along with the Cement Mixer, you also get two minifigures as well as a wheelbarrow and 18 gray studs that act as cement. Take a look at Your Creative Friends’ video below for more details of the play features of the Cement Mixer.
