As an AFOL and a Gnomie, I’m always interested in anything that involves LEGO. Chris Pirillo discusses the new features of Google+ and YouTube where viewers can now watch Google+ Live Hangouts on the Google+ profile or page and the YouTube channel simultaneously. He does this while assembling three of the new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets. The sets being built are Captain America’s Avenging Cycle (6865), Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown (6866)
, and Loki’s Cosmic Cube Escape (6867)
. Chris also discusses other topics with other Gnomies including Marvel comics, Battlestar Galactica, Empire Avenue, and Google products.

One of the new LEGO Star Wars sets released in the 2012 wave is the updated version of the 2006 X-wing Fighter (6212). The new X-wing Starfighter (9493) has 560 pieces and a retail price of $59.99. That comes out to $0.11/piece which isn’t bad for a licensed Star Wars set. There are five numbered bags and one instruction booklet.

The long wait for the new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes set is now over! You can now purchase all five sets from LEGO Shop@Home. You can go ahead and buy them now, but I would suggest waiting until next month if you have patience and self-control. The reason? As stated in a previous post, you can get an exclusive Hulk minifigure with a $50 purchase from May 16-31. If you want to get the sets now, I’ve provided links for each set in the series.
Captain America’s Avenging Cycle (6865)
Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown (6866)
Loki’s Cosmic Cube Escape (6867)
Hulk’s Helicarrier Breakout (6868)
Quinjet Aerial Battle (6869)
On April 1, I went back to LEGOLAND California for the first time in about seven years or so. Why did I decide to go? Because of Star Wars Days! This year, Star Wars Days happened on March 31 – April 1, a little earlier than before. Usually the event happens later on the in year. I was excited to go because I’ve never been to Star Wars Days and I wanted to experience it first-hand.
There have been several sources on the web listing deals for LEGO Shop@Home during the month of May. From May 4-5, order $75 of any LEGO Star Wars set(s) and get a FREE Limited-Edition Chrome TC-14 minifigure!

But wait, that’s not all! With a $50 purchase of any LEGO set(s) from May 16-31 and get a FREE Exclusive Hulk minifigure. This Hulk will be the standard minifigure size which is different from the one in the Hulk’s Helicarrier Breakout (6868) set.

On March 31, 2012, The Winchester – Shaun of the Dead by Yatkuu has reached the 10,000 supporters needed to be considered by LEGO to be an official LEGO set. If approved, this will be the fourth official CUUSOO set joining Shinkai 6500 (21100), Hayabusa (21101), and the soon releasing Minecraft Micro World (21102). Below is the official LEGO comment for the achievement.
