LEGO Marvel Black Panther: War on the Water (76214) Revealed on TRU Canada Flyer

The Toys R Us Canada weekly flyer has revealed the not-so-secret fourth LEGO Marvel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever set with the Black Panther: War on the Water (76214). Listed at $114.94 CAD, it has 545 pieces and includes minifigures of King Namor, Okoye, M’Baku, and two hidden characters. I’m not sure if the set will have those two hidden spots or if they will show the actual characters. The set is scheduled to be released in October with the other sets for the upcoming movie. LEGO Ideas BotW Temple of Time Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The BotW Temple of Time by LEGOverwatch is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The Temple of Time was originally seen in and this version has been updated for Breath of the Wild which consists of about 3,000 pieces. The project also proposes minifigures of Link, Bokoblin, and King Rhoam Bosphoramus.

The project joins Ancient Roman Temple, This is Fine, Castle Dracula, Pac-Man Moving Display, The Lost City, Japanese Courtyard Garden 坪庭, The Travel Suitcase, and Pixar’s Up House With Balloons as the ones to reach the Third 2022 Review Stage.

LEGO has released their financial results for the first half of 2022 and their performance was above expectations. Revenue was up 17% while sales increased by 13% however inflation costs on raw materials, energy, and fright has cut into profits. The best selling themes so far this year include LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Technic, LEGO Icons, LEGO City, LEGO Harry Potter, and LEGO Friends.

As the company celebrates its 90th anniversary, strong demand drives double-digit top line growth while it reinvests in the business to accelerate long-term growth initiatives during first half of 2022.

• Revenue grew 17 percent to DKK 27.0 billion.

• Consumer sales grew 13 percent.

• Operating profit was stable at DKK 7.9 billion. Net profit was DKK 6.2 billion.

• Free cash flow was DKK 3.8 billion.

• Market share gains globally and in largest markets.

• The LEGO Foundation continues pledge to support families in need and children’s development through playful learning.

BILLUND, September 28, 2022: The LEGO Group today reported earnings for the six months ending June 30, 2022. Revenue for the period grew 17 percent to DKK 27.0 billion compared with the same period in 2021, driven by strong demand. Consumer sales grew 13 percent, significantly ahead of the toy industry, contributing to global market share growth.

There are now official images of the upcoming LEGO Ray the Castaway (40566) gift with purchase set. The 243 piece set should be available from October 1-13 with purchases of $120, while supplies last.

The build was part of a LEGO Ideas contest I which the fan designer, DadiTwins, was named winner offl the Seaside contest back in May 2021. From looking at it, the final build looks to be faithful to the original submission with some minor changes.

LEGO Star Wars UCS Plaques Will be Printed in Future Sets

LEGO Fan Media Days is going on right now in Denmark headquarters and there’s a Q&A session during the reveal of the new LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest (75331). The most compelling answer according to Brickset was a question asked by David from Solid Brix Studios which confirms that future Ultimate Collector Series plaques will be printed in future sets. There was no mention of when that will happen but it won’t be happening in the next few ones including the Razor Crest. There was also no mention if it was just the LEGO Star Wars UCS sets or any other sets that include a plaque.
