LEGO Porsche 911 (10295) Rumored for Vehicle Collection Theme

Continuing with more big rumors coming out today, there is one for a new LEGO Porsche 911 (10295). It is set that it will have 1,458 pieces and priced around $149.99. The Porsche 911 will be the first car in the new Vehicle Collection like similar to the Botanical Collection which is part of the adult 18+ builds. It will be released on March 1 and will also have a VIP launch for it as well. As always, these are purely rumors until LEGO announces them or images show up at an online shop.

Rumored LEGO Star Wars Death Star with 11,000 Pieces

In some very interesting news coming this morning coming out of Promobricks via Yakface, there are reports that we could be seeing a new LEGO Star Wars Death Star that will again be the largest set ever. Rumors are going around on social media of a list of some 2HY sets which will include a Death Star with over 11,000 pieces and will be priced at $799.99. Other sets at rumored to be coming out is the UCS Republic Gunship (75309) which will be $349.99. There are many other sets with prices but I won’t be speculating on those at this time. As always, these are purely rumors until LEGO announces them or images show up at an online shop.

LEGO Vidiyo Reveal Coming January 26

A few days ago, we got a first look at one of the minifigures for the upcoming LEGO Vidiyo theme and it looks like we won’t have to wait long for the official reveal. LEGO.com has put up a full splash page for it which says the theme will be revealed on January 26. If you didn’t know, LEGO Vidiyo is a music theme that will be coming in March and is part of LEGO’s partnership with Universal Music Group.

LEGO Ideas The Shire, the Hobbithole of Frodo and Bilbo Baggins Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Shire, the Hobbithole of Frodo and Bilbo Baggins by TB Brickcreator is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The detailed build is based on The Lord of the Rings house of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins. Inside the removable roof are five rooms of the house. It also proposes minifigures of Frodo, Sam, Bilbo, Gandalf, and the 13 dwarves. This is the first project to reach the First 2021 Review Stage.

Twenty Five Projects Qualify for LEGO Ideas Third 2020 Review Stage

The LEGO Ideas Third 2020 qualifying period is now over and projects that achieved the 10,000 supporter goal didn’t slow down as 25 of them qualified for this round and they include the The project now joins the Boeing 737 Passenger Plane, Colosseum (Architecture Style), Gravity Falls: The Mystery Shack, Brick Town Police Station, Bag End, Red Dwarf Starbug, Avatar: The Last Airbender – YIP YIP!, Classic Castle, Open MRI, Motorized Lighthouse, Avatar: The Illuminated World of Pandora, Spirited Away, Jumanji of 1995, Auto Union Type C Racecar, Automated Garbage Truck, TX Master Games, Milwaukee Art Museum, The Car Wash, Wallace & Gromit, Among Us: The Skeld, Roman Warship, The Addams Family Mystery Mansion, GMC – Blue Chip 100 [1957], and Viking Village.

Products that hit 10k now will be placed in the First 2021 Review Stage which will end on on May 3. LEGO is still doing reviews on the Second 2020 qualifiers which had 35 submissions plus one that was carried over from the previous round.

LEGO Education BricQ Motion Sets Announced

It’s been a while but LEGO has officially announced some new LEGO Education sets dedicated to teaching students STEAM while removing digital barriers and teaching physical science through fun and engaging lessons. There will be two sets called BricQ Motion that includes a number of building activities to allow kids to learn about motion. BricQ Motion Essential (45401) will be for ages 6+ and BricQ Motion Prime (45400) will be a bit more advanced for ages 10+. Teachers will also get online lesson plans along with 6-10 hours of education content and resources with the sets. Check out the press release below.
