LEGO x Adidas A-ZX Shoe Teaser

A few weeks ago, we reported that LEGO will be doing a collaborative project with Adidas on the A-ZX series shoes and a few hours ago, they dropped a teaser for it. If you don’t know what it is, the A-ZX shoes is returning line that features unique drops from various brands from A to Z. The shoes run from $100+ and they do sell out so if you’re planning on getting them, I wouldn’t hesitate. The official reveal of them should be coming soon.

LEGO 2020 Advent Calendar Walmart Sale – September 2020

Walmart currently has all of the LEGO 2020 Advent Calendars on sale on their site. All of them are $10 below the normal retail price and now is a great time to pick them up if you were planning to get them. Walmart does offer free delivery over $35 or free in-store pickup.

Raided Lepin Boss and Associates Sentenced to Jail

Last year, we reported that the Shanghai police had successfully raided some factories that produced Lepin and some of the bosses were arrested. Today, Xinhua.net has reported a Chinese court has sentenced nine people to jail terms of up to six years for producing counterfeit LEGO products. The main boss surnamed Li was sentenced to six years and fined 90 million yuan (about $13.19 million USD) for copyright infringement. The other people were sentenced to four years and six months to three years and fined as well.

LEGO September 2020 Double VIP Point Sets

LEGO is offering some new sets for double VIP points for the month of September. The two sets include the LEGO City Ocean Exploration Ship (60266) and LEGO Friends Summer Fun Water Park (41430). The Exploration Ship retails for $149.99 and you can get 1,950 points while the Water Part set retails for $99.99 and you can earn 1,350 points. Both sets are already on backorder status but they will ship in a few weeks.

LEGO Delivers Double Digit Growth in 1HY 2020

LEGO has released their financial results for the first half of 2020 and they have had double digit growth fueled by strong consumer demand. Sales grew 14% while revenue grew by 7% compared to the same time last year. Some of the top performing themes in no particular order include Technic, Speed Champions, Classic, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Disney Princess.

The LEGO Group delivers double-digit growth in 1H 2020

Strong consumer demand drove consumer sales, revenue, operating profit and market share growth. Strategic investments positioned the Group well to navigate impact of COVID-19.

– Consumer sales grew 14 percent in 1H 2020 compared with 1H 2019.
– Revenue grew 7 percent to DKK 15.7 billion compared with the same period in 2019.
– Operating profit grew 11 percent to DKK 3.9 billion, while investing in significant long-term growth initiatives.
– Free cash flow strong at DKK 4.1 billion.
– Market share grew in major countries, outpacing the toy industry.

BILLUND, September 2, 2020: The LEGO Group today reported first half earnings for the six months ending June 30, 2020. Revenue for the period grew 7 percent to DKK 15.7 billion compared with the same period in 2019. Consumer sales grew 14 percent compared with 1H 2019 and the brand’s global market share increased. Operating profit was DKK 3.9 billion, an increase of 11 percent compared with 2019.
