LEGO AFOL Certification in Reward Center

If you’re a member of a LUG, there are some exclusive events throughout the year at LEGO Brand Stores called AFOL Shopping Day. During these events, you can get discounts on items, gifts, etc. and it is just a thank you from LEGO for being an AFOL.

In the LEGO Reward Center, there is a special download for an AFOL Certification Reward Block to signify that you are in a LEGO User Group. It costs zero points and you can use to participate during AFOL Shopping Days during the specified days. It’ll also be sent to your email so you don’t have to log in to the Reward Center to see the badge. I cannot confirm if it shows up for every single person who has a VIP account or just for people who are in a LUG. If you are in a LUG and it doesn’t show up, you’ll have to confirm with your Ambassador to see if you are on their list of members. Of course, you can still use your VIP card with the special sticker to get into AFOL Days.

If you aren’t in a LUG, LEGO has provided a Community Locator so you can find the nearest one to you and there you can inquire to join. Here you can meet like-minded individuals who share the love of LEGO.

Thank you for your continued support.

We want to reward you with this AFOL Certification Reward Block, to show you how valued you are to The LEGO Group.

LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267) Amazon Sale – March 2020

Amazon has finally discounted the LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267) for 20% off. It is currently priced at $11.99 which is $3 off and this is the first time it has had a significant sale on the site. This set was one of the most popular ones in the beginning of the year when it was sold out for at least a few weeks at every retailer. It is now readily available and any discount it is good for everyone.

Rumored LEGO Mosaic Themed Sets Coming Soon

There are rumors of a brand new adult targeted LEGO theme coming soon. According a post on Eurobricks, the theme, potentially called LEGO Wall Art, will be based around mosaics with buildable frames that cost between $100-$150. The initial wave will have four sets from a broad range of subjects including:

Marilyn Monroe (31197) – 3,341 pieces
The Beatles (31198) – 2,933 pieces
Iron Man (31199) – 3,406 pieces
Star Wars (31200) – 3,167 pieces

Word has it that the Beatles set will be a single person but will have enough parts to recreate any of the four members of the band. The Star Wars one is still a mystery as I have read that it could be either Darth Maul or Darth Vader.

As always, these are rumors until LEGO announces them on their social channels or they show up online at verified retailers.

LEGO Ideas Pirates of Barracuda Bay (21322) Review

The reveal of the LEGO Ideas Pirates of Barracuda Bay (21322) had an overwhelmingly positive response and we’ve had the set for a few days to do an early review of it. The 2,545 piece set will retail for $199.99 and will be available starting on April 1. The contents of the box include bags numbered to 15, unnumbered bags of various pieces, the thick instruction booklet, and a package for the sails.

LEGO Ideas Pirates of Barracuda Bay (21322) Officially Announced

LEGO has finally officially announced the next LEGO Ideas set with the Pirates of Barracuda Bay (21322). The 2,545 piece set retails for $199.99 and will be available starting on April 1.

As you can see from the box art, the design pays homage to the LEGO Pirates theme from a few decades ago. The set is definitely an upgrade from The Pirate Bay project and it also includes some of the classic Pirate minifigures as well. In addition, the shipwreck can be reassembled into a ship that is inspired by the Black Seas Barracuda (6285).

I’ll have my review of the set live soon but in the meantime, check out the press release and more photos along with videos of the set below.

Another Teaser for LEGO Ideas The Pirate Bay

LEGO has done another pirates themed teaser on their social media channels. This time, they are talking about some of the pirate shore sets including the Lagoon Lock-Up (6267) and the Imperial Trading Post (6277). This teaser on top of the pirate ship one from a few days ago. It’s not really a coincidence that their most recent posts are pirate related which pretty much means that the announcement for the LEGO Ideas The Pirate Bay set should be imminent.
