LEGO Updated Retiring Soon Page on Shop@Home – November 2019

LEGO has updated their Retiring Soon page on Shop@Home to show some of the sets that will be going away soon. For those who were doubting my list of sets that are retiring this year, a majority of the sets shown on the page I have listed. There are a few sets that I didn’t have such as the Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom one so I will assume the rest of the sets in that wave will be retiring as well. LEGO Ideas Winter Chalet Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Winter Chalet by sdrnet is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. It build features two floors with the ground floor being the restaurant while the upper floor has the bedrooms. The outside of the building has a lot of nice detailing such as the stone wall on the lower areas.

LEGO Frozen 2 Olaf Box Jo-Ann Building Event on November 23

There’s a new LEGO building event at Jo-Ann stores on November 23 for a LEGO Frozen 2 Olaf Box. The event will be held from 11am-2pm local time at your nearest Jo-Ann store. The make and take build features a small box with Olaf’s face on the cover. There will be limited quantities per store so get there early to secure your spot as it doesn’t look like there’s any registration for it. This building event will conflict with the Barnes & Noble Arendelle Castle building event so you’ll have to choose which one you prefer more unless you have another person to go for you. Thanks to Rainbow for the heads up.

LEGO Walmart Black Friday 2019 Deals

Walmart has released their Black Friday 2019 ad and they will have a couple of LEGO sets on deep discounts. From November 28-29, they will be selling the LEGO Classic Creative Fun (11005) and LEGO DUPLO Creative Fun (10887) for only $20 each which is half off the regular price. Obviously, you’re going to get your money’s worth with the Classic set with it having 900 pieces but the 120 piece DUPLO set is also a good deal especially if you’ve purchased DUPLO sets before and you know how pricey they are.

LEGO Star Wars Betrayal at Cloud City (75222) Amazon Sale – November 2019

The sale for the LEGO Star Wars Betrayal at Cloud City (75222) has now dipped to its lowest price the set has been on Amazon. It is currently priced at $266.94 which is $83.05 off or a cool 24%. This sale now makes the price per piece ratio dip just under the golden $0.10/piece ratio. I know many of you don’t really like the Master Builder Series playsets but it does include quite a few minifigures that are only found in this set. If you didn’t know, it is one of the sets that will be retiring at the end of the year.
