Using LEGO Control+ App to Control Real Liebherr R 9800

The LEGO Technic Liebherr R 9800 Excavator (42100) was released last week but LEGO has been doing some other cool promotional marketing for the set. Since it is the largest Technic set and is based on one of the largest mining excavators in the world, why not try something a little different. With the assistance of Sariel’s LEGO Workshop, LEGO made a control using the same elements from the Technic Liebherr to control the real machine using the Control+ app. Check out the video below.

LEGO Star Wars 2019 Retiring Soon List

This weekend is the LEGO Star Wars Triple Force Friday weekend promotion and included are some sales on the sets. I have been sent over a list of some retiring LEGO Star Wars sets that you can use to get the free Battle of Endor (40362) set. Some of these sets were actually released this year and for LEGO to already put them on the retiring list is an indication that they didn’t sell as well as they thought or they only had a short run for them. LEGO Star Wars Luke Skywalker Timeline Building Instructions

Starting next week, LEGO will have a new LEGO Disney Frozen 2 promotion that wasn’t shown on the October 2019 Store Calendar. From October 7-20 with purchases of Frozen 2 products of $50 or more, you can get Olaf’s Traveling Sleigh (40361) for free. The set has 97 pieces and it features an Olaf minifigure along with a sleigh filled with presents and pulling a Christmas tree. The promotional details come from the LEGO Pre-Holiday 2019 Catalog that has started showing up in the mail.
