Dinosaurs Fossils Skeletons to Become Next LEGO Ideas Set

LEGO has announced a short while ago that the Dinosaurs Fossils Skeletons – Natural History Collection will become the next LEGO Ideas set. The project was designed by Jonathan Brunn a. k.a. Mukkinn and the set is planned for a 2019 release. The details regarding the final design, pricing, and availability will be revealed later this year.

In addition to this announcement, LEGO also stated that the Playable LEGO Piano will need further review. Due to its complexity, LEGO will need addition time to take a look at it to see if is a viable set. The results will revealed in the next review update.

LEGO Ideas Third 2018 Review Results Coming VERY Soon

LEGO has teased that the results for the LEGO Ideas Third 2018 Review Stage should be coming VERY soon. This could mean that the earliest they would announce it could be sometime today or sometime this week. There are five projects that qualified to become a set and they all have a good chance. I’m more partial to the Food Stands and the Dinosaurs but which one do you think would make it up top?

LEGO Star Wars Slave I Exclusive Print Revealed

Earlier today, artist Tom Whalen has shared an image of an exclusive LEGO Star Wars promotional print that should’ve been released last month at Walmart. The print shows the Slave I (75243) along with Boba Fett in the background. As far as I know, Walmart never released this print in stores or online and I haven’t heard about any upcoming promotions for it. It’s still possible that it could be released later this year but there’s no guarantees. As of this time, we know that this print was commissioned by LEGO but it has seemingly gone into the abyss. Tom’s unique style of art has previously been used before for other LEGO prints including the Marvel and DC ones from SDCC 2017. Thanks to Chris for the heads up.

Update: Apparently, there was a promotion for it at Walmart but only at five locations in the US. Five. Thanks to Jason for the info!

LEGO Ideas 10 Year Anniversary Fan Vote

LEGO Ideas 10 Year Anniversary Review and Fan Vote

LEGO Ideas celebrated their 10th anniversary last year and today, LEGO announced that they are doing something special that kind of resembles one of my April Fool’s joke from a few years ago. This new 10 Year Anniversary Review will bring back a few LEGO Ideas projects that were not approved to become an official set for a second chance to become one. There are four projects that have been pre-approved by the review board which you can vote on and they are:

Small YELLOW

International Space Station

Stitch

Sega Classic Arcade Machines

You will be able to vote on these projects for two weeks and it close on June 4. The votes will be hidden so the numbers won’t be skewed and the final vote count will be revealed at the end of the voting period.

LEGO LEGOLAND Park (40346)

A few days ago, we go our first look at the exclusive LEGOLAND Park (40346) and there are now official images of the set. As expected, the names on the main gate are stickers so you can use a number of locations for the LEGOLAND park including California, Florida, New York, Windsow, Deutschland, Billund, Dubai, Malaysia, and Japan. The set also includes a number of attractions that can be found at LEGOLAND parks worldwide. It is currently available at select parks and will be available at all parks starting on June 1. No word yet on whether it will be available at LEGOLAND Discovery Centers or at LEGO Brand Stores later on.

New LEGO Game to be Revealed Soon

Back in December, I reported on a new LEGO mobile game that is being developed by Gameloft featuring LEGO minifigures. The details from the press release were very vague and it only told us that we’ll be able to play as some minifigures from LEGO’s history.

I was recently directed towards a Facebook page called LEGO Battle Adventures featuring a Castle knight as the profile picture. They’re getting ready to reveal the title of this particular game but only when the page hits a certain milestone of “likes” on the page. They’re only a couple dozen likes away from their next milestone to reveal more of the image above which shows the title underneath some LEGO bricks. I know with our community that we can easily reach the 300 likes they are looking to hit.

I’m not sure if this LEGO Battle Adventures game is connected to the one Gameloft is developing but according to the synopsis, they look to be the same game.

BUILD your ultimate team and engage in an epic solo and multiplayer adventure in the first LEGO battle role playing game, celebrating LEGO iconic minifigures and sets from all eras!
