Few More Characters Revealed for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 Captain America 2099

A few more characters have been revealed for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 the past few days. The first one is Horus who we’ve seen before but now we get a clearer image of him in his outfit which is the Earth-9106 version. The other character that has been revealed for the game is Captain America 2099. This is the third character from the 2099 Marvel Universe that will be in the game joining Spider-Man 2099 and Goblin 2099. I expect there will be more 2099 characters to be in the game and hoping for Ghost Rider 2099 and Punisher 2099.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Quake Mech (30379) Polybag Review

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Quake Mech (30379)

As I reported before, The LEGO Ninjago Movie Quake Mech (30379) polybag can now be found at Walmart and I’ve actually been able to find them. The polybag has 64 pieces and goes for $3.97 each and they can be found in a bin along with other LEGO polybags.

The build is pretty straight-forward and it actually has some articulation to it. The arms do have some movement as they have some ball socket joints. The hands are on clips and they can move as well. The most interesting part is the wheel. It’s flat at the bottom so it can easily stand up. There are a couple of clips to make it seem like they’re connected to the wheel but it’s only an illusion and it works quite well.

Overall I really like The LEGO Ninjago Movie Quake Mech (30379) polybag (Cole minifigure not included). I do like the look of it and it does recreate the mech we saw in the trailers very well. I don’t have anything to compare it to since there’s no regular scale set that has been released yet at this time. It is rumored that the Quake Mech will be released in the next wave of The LEGO Ninjago Movie sets. Until then, you can pick up this little guy at Walmart now.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Kai Keychain Promotion at Regal Cinemas

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Regal Cinemas

If you’re planning on seeing The LEGO Ninjago Movie next week, Regal Cinemas has a promotion when you purchase advance tickets to see it. I’m not sure how many are left, but the first 1,000 Regal Crown Club members who preorder tickets will get an “exclusive” Kai keychain. It’s not really an exclusive as it can be easily purchased LEGO Brand Stores and on Shop@Home but if you’re seeing the movie anyways, it’s nice to get it for free.

LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) Release Debacle

LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192)

The day is almost over and the main event today was the release of the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192). It was available on Shop@Home shortly after 5am PST which was around the time that LEGO stated it would be released. After it was actually available, Shop@Home basically couldn’t handle the load and it kept going down. Other issues with it include logging people out, servers going into maintenance, multiple orders placed, etc. After that, the set went into backordered status, and eventually temporarily out of stock. If LEGO didn’t announce an actual time for the release and just put it live at an arbitrary time, I felt that it would have eased the overload on the servers.

For those who were waiting for the general release on October 1 or Double VIP Points from October 10-25, you might be out of luck as well. Over on LEGO’s customer service page, there’s a a topic for the Millennium Falcon and there’s an interesting blurb which says,

75192 Millennium Falcon™ goes on sale from October 1st 2017, however due to the overwhelming success of our VIP Early Access, it will remain temporarily sold out.

This means that LEGO will not have stock for the general release which is actually surprising since there was plenty of hype for it way before today and they obviously knew that there was a huge demand for it but probably underestimated how much demand it really had.

LEGO also stated that they’re continuing to make more but does … Continue

The LEGO Movie Sequel Story Revealed

It’s been a while since we’ve talked about The LEGO Movie Sequel but Collider has some new details on what the story will be. As we know by now, the end of the first movie involves Finn’s sister playing with DUPLO bricks and they announced their plans to destroy them. In an interview with Dan Lin, he stated:

We’re picking up where the first movie left us, where the Duplo have now come and they’re attacking Bricksburg. It’s several years later, and you’re going to see the result of that.

Another part of The LEGO Movie Sequel could tackle on gender differences, more specifically how a boy plays with LEGO is different from how a girl plays with LEGO.

Chris McKay stated:

I’m really excited about where the movie is gonna go because it’s about these things that are actual notions that people have that might even be unconscious biases, where people don’t even realize that that’s the way they’re looking at the world.

LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) Unboxing Review

LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192)

The new LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) was released earlier today and if you were able to checkout, prepare for something massive. I received my review copy on Monday and have been building it for the past few days. I’m 10.5 hours in and I’m only currently up to bags numbered 7 out of 17 so this will be a daunting task. Since it’s so large, I’m going to try to break up the review into several parts. Here’s a quick unboxing of this beauty of a set.

As you saw from the official images, the box is huge. Forgive my crudeness of the images but my photography studio isn’t big enough to support the box and most likely won’t fit the Falcon after it’s been completed.

The front of the box shows the Falcon in all its glory and the back of the box shows some of the features of the set including the interchangeable sensor dishes.

On one side of the box, you have a little a little blurb about the Millennium Falcon in various languages. There’s also a couple of stickers with a crossed out knife meaning not to open from this end.

On the opposite side of the box, you have a very nice looking blueprint as well as a line of the minifigures that are included with the set.

When you open up the box, you are greeted with a large sprial bound instruction manual that sits on top of a cardboard so it won’t get crushed during transit. … Continue
