The LEGO Movie 2 sets have started to hit various Walmart locations and there’s yet another polybag to look for there. Aaron Hanks over on a LEGO Facebook group has found Lucy vs. Alien Invader (30527) has his location. It has 44 pieces and retails for $3.99 and the build is a brick-built DUPLO alien invader. So far, there are two TLM2 polybags that can be found at Walmart including this one and Mini Master-Building MetalBeard (30528).
Starting on December 26 through January 15, LEGO VIP members can get free movie tickets to see The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part when you purchase TLM2 sets. With every $60 you spend on TLM2 sets at LEGO Brand Stores, you can ger two free tickets that you redeem at Fandango. After 21 days have passed since your purchase, visit http://vipexclusiveoffer.com/ to enter your information and proof of purchase to get a code to redeem at Fandango. According to the FAQs, Shop@Home purchases also qualify for the promos so don’t worry if you don’t have a LEGO store near you.
As we come to the end of 2018, let’s take a look at what you folks have been reading the most this year on The Brick Fan. As of today, there has been 862 posts so far this year and here are the most viewed posts according to Google Analytics. One thing to note is that the monthly LEGO store calendar posts took up five of the ten spots so I will be omitting them from this list.
The images for the new LEGO Spider-Man sets came out from an online shop and fans were excited to see some new minifigures that will be coming out of this wave.
LEGO has recently changed the minifigure distribution for the Collectible Minifigures line and we got a early look at how many of each character was in for the Harry Potter set.
Back in the beginning of the year, we got news from the Nuremberg Toy Fair that the Bugatti Chiron (42083) would be coming out in August.
Back in October, we got our first look at the Christmas Gift Box (40292) from this year’s LEGO Black Friday promotions.

Back during Black Friday last month, EclipseGRAFX released a limited edition Excelsior minifigure set which is basically a custom LEGO minifigure of Stan Lee to celebrate his life. Some of the items that were in the set include a custom tin, the Stan Lee minifigure, a card similar to the style of the 1990 Impel Marvel Universe cards, a custom sticker, and a custom 2×3 printed tile. If you pre-ordered last month, you also get a custom printed window pane.
In addition to the LEGO The Hobbit Video Game going up again for a short time earlier today, Humble Bundle also has the LEGO Lord of the Rings Video Game for free as well. The offer runs until December 22 at 10am PST.

For those who missed the initial drop for the free copy of LEGO The Hobbit Video Game on Humble Bundle last week, you now have another chance to get it. For the next day or so, while supplies last, you can get the game for free when you subscribe to their newsletter. If you want the game, don’t hesitate or you’ll miss out again.
As I reported before, one of the new polybags that have showed up at Walmart for The LEGO Movie 2 is the Mini Master-Building MetalBeard (30528). The polybag consists of 42 pieces and retail for $3.97 and it can be found at the LEGO aisle.
The build is basically a smaller version of MetalBeard’s crab mech which the normal version is in the Battle-Ready Batman and MetalBeard (70836) set. In the middle of the mech is MetalBeard’s head with his and, of course, his metal beard piece right below. The back has a crow’s nest that is attached on a ball joint. Unlike the regular set, this one doesn’t have a treasure chest with his internal organs. Although he has some claws for legs, there’s also a single wheel at the bottom to help him move.
This polybag is a 3-in-1 set so it is able to change into a three-wheel vehicle as well as a ship but the instructions for those builds are not available at this time but I’ll do a follow-up when they are.
