As you can see from the images, we’re getting a 37-piece Penguin Christmas Ornament (853796) as well as a 50-piece Presents Christmas Ornament (853815). LEGO Minifigure Evolution Throughout the Years

LEGO Minifigure Evolution

Continuing on with my coverage of the 40th anniversary of the LEGO minifigure, we now turn our attention to the evolution of the minifigure. LEGO has sent over a number of images of various minifigures which show them as a prototype from the mid-to-late 1970s as well as the final products that were released in 1978. Some of these minifigures include the doctors, firefighters, spacemen, and police. We even get to see the old minifigures compared to some of the more recently released ones.

LEGO Seasonal 2018 Christmas Carousel (40293) Revealed

LEGO Seasonal Christmas Carousel (40293)

We’re getting ever so closer to the holiday season and a Russian Monobrand Store has revealed what appears to be an upcoming 2018 LEGO Christmas promotional set with the Christmas Carousel (40293). It is a Limited Edition set which is similar to the Christmas Train (40138) and Gingerbread House (40139) from 2015, the Snowglobe (40223) from 2016, and the Nutcracker (40254) from 2017. As seen from the images, the Carousel can be rotated using a simple gear mechanism.

There’s no word yet on when it will be available but I believe it will be in November when the Christmas promotional sets show up on the Store Calendar. The purchase limit will most likely be with $99 or more at LEGO Brand Stores and on Shop@Home.

LEGO Minifigure Collector Frame Available October 15-31

LEGO Minifigure Collector Frame

Probably the most interesting promotion from the October 2018 LEGO Store Calendar is the Minifigure Collector Frame. You can get it for free with purchases of $75 or more from October 15-31, while supplies last. This is the not the first minifigure frame because we’ve already gotten one for Marvel Super Heroes (853611) and The LEGO Batman Movie (853638) but this free promo version is an unbranded one.

The Minifigure Collector Frame has a printed 2×2 LEGO tile but it also includes a minifigure with a white tanktop with a stud muffin and an inflatable duck float which is the same as the one for Vacation Batman. Like with all minifigure frames, it fits 16 minifigures.

LEGO Star Wars Han Solo Mudtrooper (40300) Available October 1-14

LEGO Star Wars Han Solo Mudtrooper (40300)

Five months after the Solo: A Star Wars Story was released in theaters, we’re finally getting the LEGO Star Wars Han Solo Mudtrooper (40300) polybag in October. As we take a deeper look into some of the promotions from the October 2018 LEGO Store Calendar, the polybag will be available from October 1-14 with LEGO Star Wars purchases of $35 or more, while supplies last.

The reason for its unusually late release is that the polybag was believed to be a Toy R Us exclusive but as we all know by now, TRU has been closed for a few months and LEGO had to find a way to distribue the polybag. It has also been available at LEGOLAND and LEGOLAND Discovery Centers for a few months now.
