Sneak Peek at Rumored LEGO Jurassic Park Visitor’s Center Set?

LEGO Jurassic Park

On this day 25 years ago, my favorite movie of all-time, Jurassic Park, was released in theaters and earlier today, LEGO released an image to celebrate the anniversary. The scene shows the end of the movie where the Tyrannosaurus Rex is inside the Visitor’s Center with the banner falling down.

If you look closely, you can actually see part of the Visitor’s Center in the background and could this be a teaser to the rumored LEGO Jurassic Park Visitor’s Center set? If you’ve been following my posts, I’ve talked about it on and off but there’s still no definite confirmation about it. One of my contacts says there is one coming but I cannot confirm it at this time. As we know by now, there’s already a 25th anniversary LEGO Jurassic Park set that has been released with the Jurassic Park Velociraptor Chase (75932).

Thanks to anonymous for pointing this out.

Greg Miller Confirmed for LEGO DC Super-Villains Video Game

The next LEGO video game was announced last week to be LEGO DC Super-Villains coming in October. WB Games and TT Games will be at E3 next week to start promoting it and hopefully will continue at San Diego Comic Con.

There’s already some new information about it in terms of new characters that we can expect to see. Greg Miller from Kinda Funny has been a genuine fan of LEGO video games for a while now and if you’ve been going to the SDCC panels for previous LEGO games, you can actually see the enthusiasm he has for these games. He has actually done some voice work for some of the previous LEGO games including Aldrich Killian for LEGO Marvel’s Avengers and Howard the Duck for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2.

When a fan was asking him if he was going to be in this latest installment, he replied with a simple “I am in the game!” This confirms that he’ll again have some sort of role but we can only guess as to who he’ll portray. Greg if you read this, can we get a reveal at SDCC?

How Does Three LEGO Creator Roller Coaster (10261) Sets Combined Look Like?

The LEGO Creator Roller Coaster (10261) is now available and it looks very impressive as it is but what if you combine it with multiple copies of the set? Nati con i LEGO has released a new video of them showing off the Roller Coaster with three sets combined which is a feat in itself. The first thing that your eyes are probably drawn to is the constructed loop. There’s enough height on the initial drop that the momentum lets the carts go through the loop with ease. I wish the video showed a wider shot of the drop from the top of the tracks but nevertheless it is pretty stunning seeing three Roller Coaster sets combined into one larger coaster. Check out the video below.

The LEGO Group Announces Collaboration With IKEA to Promote Creative Play

The LEGO Group has announced that they are partnering up with the popular Swedish furniture company IKEA to promote more creative play in the home environment. The press release doesn’t go into detail of what will be happening with this partnership however my guess is that we could see LEGO branded furniture being sold at IKEA. Stay tuned as we expect more information in the near future about the LEGO/IKEA team-up.

IKEA AND THE LEGO GROUP IN COLLABORATION TO ENABLE MORE PLAY AND CREATIVITY

We know that play is an important part of life and we believe in the power of play. Play lets us be creative, explore, experiment, dream and discover. IKEA and the LEGO Group, join forces to encourage more play.

Play is key to develop. And it is an essential part of a better everyday life. Play is so many different things, for so many different people. In the everyday life there are different barriers for play. Some of the barriers are more evident for grown-ups. One being that grown-ups think that playing can be messy. Other barriers are more evident to children – like grown-ups trying to create order in the play environment, where children in fact enjoy and often immerse themselves in the midst of it all.

“It started with an invitation from the LEGO Group “Do you want to play?”. Of course we said yes to this and together we now want to enable more play by triggering play in the functionality of the everyday life. At IKEA we first

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part Teaser Trailer Breakdown

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part

The big news yesterday was that teaser trailer for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part was released online yesterday and I’m going to try and do a breakdown of what happened in the trailer and what sets we could get from LEGO from what was shown.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part

It’s been five years since the events on Taco Tuesday and Bricksburg has turned into an apocalyptic wasteland. If you remember, LEGO DUPLO characters came at the end of The LEGO Movie and it looks like they caused the destruction of the city.

As a result, everything turned into chaos and it “toughened and hardened” most people including Larry the Barista who underwent a drastic change. The only person that seemingly didn’t get affected was Emmet.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part

Emmet thinks he sees a shooting star go by but it is most likely a device sent down by a new character named Sweet Mayhem who is a minidoll instead of a minifigure. Here we can see a new Unikitty who is now a large armored cat that has long front and hind legs.

Building their way through trouble is still an integral part of their characters as you can see them build a four-wheel buggy that could be one of the sets we could get.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part

Soon after that, they meet Sweet Mayhem, voiced by Stephanie Beatriz, who actually looks pretty cool. She is a minidoll style and wears a stylish helmet with some sparkly wings.
