From AFOL to LEGO Designer Fan Event at LEGO House in March 2020

If you are going to the LEGO House next year, there’s a neat event that will be held in March that you may be interested in. On March 13, LEGO will be holding an event called From AFOL to LEGO Designer in which you’ll be able to meet three LEGO Designers, Mark John Stafford, Justin Ramsden, and Marcos Bessa. They’ll talk about how they were regular AFOLs and how their passion for the brick became their job.

There are limited seating and it will lst for 4 hours (16:00-20:00). You can sign up by going to the link above.

Every year the LEGO Group hires in skilled LEGO builders with a great passion for the brand and many of them have a history of longtime membership in the AFOL community. This evening you’ll meet 3 LEGO designers (Mark John Stafford, Justin Ramsden and Marcos Bessa) who will talk about their way into the LEGO Group. And how they have managed to turn their passion into their day job.

The evening will be hosted by the Norwegian journalist and AFOL Are Heiseldal, who has facilitated several Brick talks before.

The Fan evening will be held in LEGO House on March 13, 2020.

LEGO Technic App-Controlled Top Gear Rally Car (42109) Officially Announced

LEGO has officially announced the LEGO Technic App-Controlled Top Gear Rally Car (42109) which will be available in December. It has 463 pieces and will retail for $129.99. This was the rumored Top Gear set that was rumored last month and it integrates the CONTROL+ app to maneuver it around. Check out the press release and more images of the set below.

First ever LEGO Technic Top Gear collaboration revealed at LA Auto Show

Los Angeles, USA: Today, the LEGO Group revealed the first ever LEGO Technic Top Gear Set in partnership with BBC Studios. The new LEGO Technic App Controlled Top Gear Rally Car is an authentic looking GT Rally car for ages 9 years and above and will be available globally from 26th December 2019.

LEGO Technic designers joined forces with the BBC Top Gear team to co-design the body of the car and accompanying stickers to create an ultra-realistic and fast looking racer that fans are sure to enjoy building at home.

The model is remote controlled via the LEGO Technic CONTROL+ app and contains functions such as steering, multi-touch control and gyro control as well as different challenges and achievements to deliver a thrilling, immersive play experience. The rally car comes complete with 1 large motor, 1 XL motor and 1 Bluetooth controlled smart hub.

LEGO 2019 Holiday Shopping Recommendations

The 2019 holiday shopping season is well underway and this is the perfect time to release my LEGO shopping recommendations for this year. This list features sets that were released this year and I’ve broken them down into categories that are separated into different price point groups. LEGO Star Wars 2020 Reported Set Lineup

It’s never too late to know more about the upcoming 2020 LEGO sets and Swiss online retailer Meinspielzeug has put up product listings for the 2020 LEGO Star Wars sets. The lineup features a variety of builds including Microfighters to more bust builds as well as a set for The Mandalorian. Of course, there are no images at this time but we’ll probably see them closer to the end of the year.
