LEGO Seasonal Dragon Boat Race (80103) to Launch After July 1 in North America

LEGO Seasonal Dragon Boat Race (80103)

It’s been a couple of days since the launch of the LEGO Seasonal Dragon Boat Race (80103) at other parts of world however North America got the short end of the stick on the release. Everyday since the beginning of June, I’ve gotten emails and messages of when it will show up here, 43 total to be exact. We’ve finally gotten some information from the LEGO Ambassador Network on the North America release.

According to Sara, it will launch here after July 1. The phrase is somewhat vague as it doesn’t say it will launch on July 1 but after July 1. As of this time, it’s not listed on Shop@Home but if it does around the end of June, it may suggest that it’ll be available on July 1.

I don’t a specific list of countries as to where it’s available, but I’ve just been informed that 80103 Dragon Boat Race is available in Europe and APAC June 1st, and will launch in North America after July 1st.

If it’s showing as “retired” on your country’s LEGO Shop (and you’re outside of North America) I recommend you contact consumer service.

LEGO Seasonal Dragon Boat Race (80103) Available Worldwide on June 1

LEGO Seasonal Dragon Boat Race (80103)

The LEGO Seasonal Dragon Boat Race (80103) is now has a product page on Shop@Home and it will be available worldwide on June 1 as I expected. It is currently listed for the UK, France, Germany, and other world markets. US and Canada aren’t listed yet but I assume they’ll be up when June rolls around. The set will also be available at LEGO Brand Stores as well. The Dragon Boat Race has 471 pieces and will include 15 minifigures.

If you remember from last month, LEGO announced that regional exclusives will now be widely available after fan dissatisfaction from some of the exclusives that have already been released earlier this year such as the two Chinese New Year sets, The LEGO Movie 2 BrickHeadz, and the 20th Anniversary Darth Vader Bust.

LEGO Seasonal Dragon Boat Race (80103) Official Images

LEGO Seasonal Dragon Boat Race (80103)

We’ve already known about the LEGO Seasonal Dragon Boat Race (80103) but LEGO has finally uploaded the official images of the set onto their servers in preparation of them being sold on LEGO Shop@Home. In the Asian-Pacific region, it’ll be available on May 1 but for the rest of the world, they won’t get it until 3-6 months after the launch so it’ll probably be late summer/early fall before it becomes available for everyone else.

As for the set, it has 471 pieces but it will include a whopping 15 minifigures. The price is still unknown at this time. The set is to commemorate the Dragon Boat Festival that will be held in early June.

LEGO Seasonal Dragon Boat Race (80103) Set Image

At the beginning of the year, LEGO released the Asia exclusive Chinese New Year sets but there was also another set that we couldn’t publish due to it being watermarked. We can finally post about the last set which is called the Dragon Boat Race (80103) which comes from online retailer Digibee. There’s no details regarding the set price or piece count but there are a whopping 15 minifigures that goes with it. As for the release date, it’ll probably be available around May or June for the Asia region countries since the Dragon Boat Festival will be held June 7-9. For us here in the US, we’ll have to get it off the secondary market or from a connection from someone who are able to get it from those countries. I assume this set will sell out fairly quickly just like the ones from earlier this year.
