LEGO Galaxy Squad High Quality Images

Hoth Bricks has posted high quality images of all the LEGO Galaxy Squad sets. I’m really liking all the minifigures in the sets and the vehicles aren’t that bad looking. This looks to be a hot theme for the younger audience because Space themed sets usually sell very well on the market.

LEGO Galaxy Squad Video Reviews

Bug Obliterator

krisproductionistudio has got his hands on a few of the new LEGO Galaxy Squad sets and have done reviews for the Space Swarmer (70700), the Bug Obliterator (70705), and the Vermin Vaporizer (70704). You can also see some very nice images of the set on his Flickr account. He also mentioned that he found them at a Canadian Toys R Us so it looks like the sets are hitting more store shelves.

The Rest of the LEGO Galaxy Squad Sets

CupIsHalfEmpty has posted images of the remaining sets for the new LEGO Galaxy Squad theme on his Flickr account. The theme looks more and more influenced by the movie, Starship Troopers, don’t you think? Look for these sets to probably hitting shelves soon. Which sets are you looking forward to getting?

LEGO Galaxy Squad Available at Canada Toys R Us Stores

Brickset is reporting that the new LEGO Galaxy Squad sets have arrived in Toys R Us stores in Canada. Brickset memeber, CupIsHalfEmpty, found a couple of the sets at the Winnipeg location, which wasn’t expected to be released until January. He has snapped pictures of the Space Swarmer (70700) and the Bug Obliterator (70705) on the shelves. You can also see the first images of the Galaxy Squad minifigures, shown on the bottom right corner.

The Bug Obliterator contains 711 pieces and retails for $99.99 CAD while the Space Swarmer has 86 pieces and retails for $14.99 CAD. Keep in mind that these are TRU prices and will be lower in other retail stores. It looks like this will be an expensive Christmas with The Hobbit sets coming out real soon.

LEGO Galaxy Squad Minifigures Shows Up on eBay

LEGO Galaxy Squad Red Alien Beetle

First images of the new minifigures from the LEGO Galaxy Squad have shown up on eBay! lego*dudes, the source of many of the unreleased 2013 minifigures, is selling a red alien beetle-like insect, probably from the Space Swarmer (70700) set, as well as a green alien mosquito most likely from the Swarm Interceptor (70701) or the Warp Stinger (70702) sets.

As an eBay Affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

The red beetle minifigure has a very nice looking red exoskeleton with a great beetle head. For the green mosquito minifigure, it’s pretty much what you see from a mosquito. Even though the head is put on backwards, we can see it has a darkish green body with a fairly transparent neon green wing piece. The head has some very bulging eyes and a long proboscis. From the looks of it, these insects won’t be able to turn their heads due to the head molds. The LEGO Galaxy Squad theme looks to be a huge hit from the initial impressions of the minifigures.

More LEGO Galaxy Squad Sets In August 2013?

Brickshop.nl has posted what could be Wave 2 of the LEGO Galaxy Squad sets that are listed to have an August 1, 2013 release date as well as what appears to be the logo for the theme. There’s also another set in Wave 1 that wasn’t mentioned before in our previous post of the sets, the Galaxy Walker (30230). The sets from Wave 2 don’t have finalized names yet but do have set numbers which could be almost anything at this time ranging from more boxed sets to polybag minifigures. We’ll just have to wait and see what these are.

LEGO Galaxy Squad Image From LEGO Club Magazine

Lego Club Nov-Dec 12 Magazine

Murphquake has uploaded images from the November-December Club Magazine of what may be the first images of the new highly anticipated LEGO Galaxy Squad sets. What we can see in the comic is Earth shooting a laser into space, probably from the Galaxy Squad, at a giant wasp looking insect as well as many insect figures with the caption:

What is this newest threat?? Get ready to defend the universe from extraterrestrial pests with Galaxy Squad!

vynsane on Eurobricks has found descriptions of the sets and translated them using Google Translator.
