If you don’t want to purchase any of the LEGO Super Mario sets on Shop@Home to get the free Super Mushroom Surprise Expansion Set (30385), I’ve been told that Target is also carrying it in stores. The price of the polybag is $4.99 and you can probably find it at the LEGO aisle or on the endcaps. Note that you’ll need the Starter Course (71360) to make use of the play functions of the set. Thanks to Charles for the heads up.

LEGO Super Mario Rumored SDCC 2020 Exclusive

San Diego Comic Con 2020 goes virtual this year and we’ve already reported that LEGO won’t be doing any panels as confirmed on the schedule. As for the LEGO exclusive, there’s no word on anything but there are rumors floating around Instagram about one that is LEGO Super Mario related. The set is called Toad’s Special Hideaway (77907) and it is priced at $19.99. There’s no details on where it will be sold at but it could be sold online at Target similar to the LEGO Star Wars Celebration 2019 Darth Vader Bust (75227). As always, nothing is confirmed so we’ll see if LEGO does anything next week.

LEGO Super Mario Product Range Officially Revealed

The LEGO Super Mario theme was announced back in March and LEGO has been sharing various expansion sets here and there but today, they have revealed the full product range for the theme. There are a total of 16 sets that will be available starting on August 1.

I’ve been playing with a few of the sets for a few weeks and was also invited to the super secret LEGO Super Mario Championship which I competed in various challenges against other Recognized LEGO Fan Media. I believe I finished 5th in our pool of eight participants. It was a good experience to test out the product and I have a feeling that kids will enjoy it as well.

We’ve been sent over a slew of images of the sets but I just want to highlight the box and the sets themselves. There’s also a press release that includes the prices for them as well.

If you missed out on the pre-order for the LEGO Super Mario Adventures with Mario Starter Course (71360) on Shop@Home a few months back, LEGO now has it open again for orders. The set costs $59.99 and it will be available starting on August 1. Unfortunately, the pre-order doesn’t include the Monty Mole & Super Mushroom Expansion Set (40414) promotional bonus that was included during the first wave of pre-orders. So far, it does seem that LEGO Super Mario is fairly popular but we’ll see once all the sets are released this fall.

New LEGO Super Mario Suits Revealed

A few days ago, we reported on some new expansion packs for the LEGO Super Mario theme that customizes the Mario device. Instead of having a site leak them on accident, LEGO has just revealed the four sets on their social media pages. Each of them has different abilities that can be used and requires the Starter Course (71360) since it is the only set that has the Mario figure. They will be available starting on August 1.

More LEGO Super Mario Sets Found

Slovak site Svetmodelov.sk has posted more product listings for upcoming LEGO Super Mario theme. They are loosely translated so they aren’t very accurate. It looks like these are to customize the Mario device to other costumes that he has worn in the franchise. I’m curious to see if Flying Mario is Raccoon Mario or Cape Mario. As of now, we still haven’t seen much out of the theme but hopefully we get some more details soon. It was rumored that LEGO was to reveal more about it during San Diego Comic Con but we’ll see what happens now since SDCC moved to a virtual format for this year.
